It was noticeable that last year Zabaleta wasnt included in the squad for the Watford game after he'd had his presentation in midweek. Presumably because his head wouldn't have been in the right place. So I dont think there's any chance that Yaya will be on the bench.

They'd have to update his commemorative shirt too!

They would also risk winding City up. I don’t really expect us to try to score 6 or 7. I think we’ll be happy to gain a comfortable 2 or 3 goal lead and then play the game out at walking pace. But if they start kicking us......

I suppose it might even be better... really get under the skin of the Rags to have their indisputably best player share an award with one of ours, who actually won the league.

True, he would have. Even if he had also chosen to run out for that Brighton attack he would have made sure the ball was well away from play so he and the defence could recover.

Not mention the whole thing may not have happened at all as he gives our defenders much more confidence when they play, so for all we know Vinny and Dinho would have handled that initial pass more effectively.
