David Silva for me. At times, he exceeded his exemplary standards; scored more than ever before, or so it seemed; barely, if ever, lost the ball; and all that with the living hell of a very sick little baby to contend with.
What a fantastic player. What a fantastic man.
Went a bit left field with sterling as I know the others will get all the accolades they're due and I feel he deserves a bit of recognition for a bloody brilliant season
Blimey tough one this..a few contenders..but went for Silva. Just always fantastic and creates so much. Considering the issues he has had to deal with regarding his baby son, shows what an utter professional he is.
Dave for me, Kev was amazing first-half of the season but couldn't keep the level up and that hurt us in Europe when it mattered. Needs to pace himself next season.
The fact that Mateo is around to one day see videos of his dad lifting the trophy, despite everything that's gone on and that he still performed to a superb level, has just struck a chord with me so I'm going to let sentiment ride my judgement and pick Dave.
I get why people have gone for Merlin as apart from his onfield brilliance he has had enough on his plate with his family. And I feel the same. So I am not being at all anti to him but there is another for me who is our POTS.
There were 2 long passes against Stoke that I will never ever forget for their breathtaking thought & execution but there is now a third one - the very, very last pass of our record breaking season.
