Jorginho

True but Bravo is no longer good enough. I would rather we bring in another back up. I'm not sure on Gunn, will he develop more playing another season in the Championship or learning from Pep and Ederson while fighting for the FA Cup and League Cup? Its not so black and white for me. If hes offered a chance to go to a PL club then there is no question but staying at mid table club in the Championship won't exactly do wonders for his career.
You could argue that Bravo never was good enough :-)

haha true, I thought he had improved a little but then came back in against Brighton and Southampton with some absolutely shocking decisions.

At 815am today, ITV breakfast news had a banner going across the screen saying 'Man City have completed the £50m signing of Jorginho'.

Not like Fernandinho does, no.

But he could possibly get in his share of blocks & interceptions in that position, enough for us to get away with it against most teams when we dominate possession. I really fancy seeing both of them play. They are both great footballers who can keep possession & create stuff.

What intrigues me is that he seems to provide defensive cover for fernandihno but also he is another creative player in the team. The question is will this affect which players are picked in front of him?

Reina is going to Milan so they need a new keeper.

Napoli was also interested in Zinchenko.

Bravo+Zinchenko and £40m would suit everyone.

I would honestly be a little upset if we paid that fee while including two players, but we would never do a player swap, let alone 2 + cash for one.

I think that figure + Zinchenko would be a fair deal.

That's also fine, I included Bravo as it would be an added bonus for us if they took him :)

Really positive article. Sounds like he'll bring a lot to the table.

Good read.

I remember a few months ago seeing his passing stats and how he dominated these categories and it is finally mentioned in a piece.

To have the top 9 out of 10 records for most touches with 10th being Pirlo is ridiculous.

Probably £40m plus Zinchenko and £50m if we throw Bravo in as well!

I think he gives us a lot of options to mix & match, potentially at least.

Personally, I believe we could be just as dangerous going forward, without having to play 5 mainly attacking players in the team. Especially if Mendy is available.

I just think it hasn't really worked out so far with Gundogan when he replaces one of the creative mids. So he's arguably been better when he stands in for Fernandinho & we still have 5 attacking players.

I think it might be possible to play both Fernandinho & Jorginho without losing any attacking momentum, if the blend is right in the rest of the team. Then, in theory we are more solid v the better teams in the Champs League & have a full set of top quality, fresh, replacement attackers on the bench.

It’s a very exciting thought that Jorginho will form part of our side, predominantly midfield.

He will add strength & quality to us in both our defence through interceptions and attack by his vision, awareness & ability to find the right pass.

The perfect pivote for Pep Guardiola. His positional play in that position is the best I have arguably ever seen to the nth degree, in terms of body positioning and shoulder feints and one touch especially with the vertical pass. It's almost cheating that he is going to Manchester City and playing under Pep.

It must feel good to run down City players!
Bravo did not become a bad keeper overnight. He came to play in a team which played a high line and when the defence was not up to the required standard. Add to that the hysteria surrounding Hart going (whatever happened to him) and any keeper would have had a bad time. Whatever you think of him, it is my opinion that we would not have won the Carabao cup without his brilliant penalty saves. He has always acted well towards City and deserves better treatment from some so called fans.
