How does he compare to weigl? Not seen enough of either but thought Weigl was said to be the carbon copy of busquets and peps ideal player at one point
Jorginho is at least 100 times better. Weigl must be one of the most overrated players in the world currently

Very similar player. I don't see any other good alternatives to Busi other than Weigl and Jorginho. But Weigl's form has really nosedived after the ankle injury, so the Brazilian is the most logical choice.

Well there's my answer. The only thing I would say is that playing as a deep lying playmaker in Italy is much easier than in Germany due to the pace of the game

Its just like a broken record right now, Weigl, Weigl, Weigl, Weigl. Its kind of frustrating. Fred, Fabinho, Jorginho, Ndombele are all better than Weigl so why the Weigl obsession?
I don't know, hence why I asked the question mate. That's exactly what I wanted to know.

The defensive side might be. Having any sort of meaningful influence going forward is more difficult though as there's less space in the opposition half.
Jorginho, Allan and Hamsik's progressive play in this regard has been stunning to watch at times, even against Juventus they've gone through them like a knife through butter. Would take a while for him to build the same sort of understanding with our midfield but it will be well worth the wait.

Weigl has had an awful season and wasn't great last year either, shame but it looks like his injury and the change in tactics over the last couple of years at Dortmund has really affected him.

Not quite as close as the press are implying. Not sure an official bid has even been made yet.

I don't think the press have reported an official bid yet to be fair - just negotiations between the clubs and the agent's comments.

We seem to often only make one bid anyway, one that we know will get accepted after lots of unofficial discussions that can drag on forever.

If there's a €20m gap between valuations it might take some time.
