Willian has never scored more than ten goals a season. Would be a weird one this.

Good. Another player that will be 30 by the start of next season. Give him a 5 year contract.

Mourinho rates Willian because he runs around a lot and does his defensive work. He's decent enough going forward, but signing him would basically sum up where their priorities lie. He'd be the new Park Ji-sung for them. Without the noodle endorsements, obviously.

He's a wide right attacker, something they need hugely.

This has been floating around for at least a week, linked with a Martial swap.

That then allows them to quote a transfer fee of nil, as is currently in vogue for Sanchez' transfer.

Willian is the last thing United need. Yet another straight line running non creative workhorse. Their biggest problem is goals, Willian barely scores or assists.

But he only plays 12 games a season ;-)

His PL Stats

2017-18
Played 36
Goals 6
Assists 7

2016-17
P 34
G 8
A 2

2015-16
P 35
G 5
A 6

2014-15
P 36
G 2
A 3

So actually in the PL, that's 1 goal in 7 games and 1 assist in 8

Yes, I was using every competition.
Cut off that early year, and 19 goals, 15 assists in 3 years. 105 matches, some of which will be subs - 1/5 goals, 1/7 assists. Not earth shattering, but not bad.

Fabregas in that time has 98 matches, 12 goals (no idea on assists), which is in line with Willian.

I hear Sky Sports have prepared an hour long special on their season: The Unmentionables!

Sanchez either reading directly from a PR sheet or desperately trying to convince himself: "They always want to win and to be fighting on all fronts and that's the reason I wanted to come here. I also had some great players alongside me at Barcelona, some highly experienced guys who had great quality. I think that United are not too dissimilar as a club to them in their size and stature."

The missing ingredient at the swamp being the class of players.

Jose Mourinho at Manchester United: If he's not winning, what's he good for?

It's Louis van Gaal football with added paranoia. Two seasons in at Manchester United and Jose Mourinho's style and manner is beginning to grate.

Several outlets are sticking the knife in today—as I said last week, watching the faces of the United players as they went up to collect their second place medals after the final defeat makes me think Mourinho may be on the way out.
