Riyad Mahrez

I love Raheem, he's a fighter. I recall that going into the new season we all had him as a bench guy and thought Bernado will be the sure starter going by his exploits at Monaco but Raz made us all look stupid.

You see my point is that there will be a lot of experiments and I bet if we enjoy a run of invincibility with Sane Sterling Mahrez, the others would have to work their way into the team. In essence, Sterling is not necessarily going to be the from-the-off loser here.

We'd just have to wait and see as you say but I honestly feel that if all we did this summer was sign Jorginho and Mahrez, we wouldn't be doing anything terrible to the market. Mahrez, a former epl poty who has continued to show that he's up here with the best in the epl is surely not overpriced for 60m pounds leading up to 75m pounds in the current market.
Speak for yourself mate :P l had him at World Class :)

Don't worry I got dogs abuse for suggesting Mahrez was only worth about £35m tops, some were saying give names for alternative players. I get its not the fans money, and I get the City hierarchy know better than me, but I was suggesting we walk away from the deal if Leicester try to take the piss that's all, so I know where your coming from blue.
Out if curiosity, what's names did you come up with?

I`m not fucking surprised you got abuse if thats the type of stupid comment you make.

OK well I meant a lot of us. But you really don't need to blow your trumpet, Dax.
It was a joke mate, I'm in my jokey phase. Can't you tell from my responses of late?

Damn! I have to do a better job of promoting my jokiness :(

Look Dax there's players out there who will do the same job as Mahrez, which are cheaper, don't u get it, if City spend silly money on him I will still support the team from my paid seat, and accept it, Pep knows better than me.

I tend to agree 60m plus 15m add ons. Roberts will go the other way separately for 20m plus sell on clause but no buy back. Total outlay for Mahrez 55m which is where we tend to be with players these days.

Mahrez for me brings something that both Raheem and Sane (at present) don't and thats a considerable goal threat (as well as his creativity). We all know Sterlings weakness is his goal threat. The vast majority of this goals are tap ins (nothing wrong with that) but when in one on ones/cutting in from wide/shooting opportunities from distance etc he is weaker than Mahrez.
Sane at present isn't as good as Marhez is in this sense as well (though i feel he will be better in the long run).....

He can only add strength to depth and putting pressure on both those 2 players can only be a good thing.

The cost is irrelevant as the money world of football is crazy. The only question is does he improve the team and in my opinion he does.....certainly adds strength in depth and there is no drop of bringing him in for one of Sterling or Sane

13 goals and 13 assists (all comps) is very good considering he plays for Leicester, where he has to do pretty much everything by himself. With Merlin, Kev and Jorginho, he could probably reach 20+G and 20+A (depending on playing time). We`re not gonna get him cheap, but he would be a great addition. Will be interesting to see if he can play on the left side as well

Because I said I'd give £35m for Mahrez just because he's done fck all for the past 2 seasons, Oakie said I was talking shit, so I asked him the question, that's all.
And 35 mill is sensible ? Still haven't explained why anyone should care in the slightest. Only 2 questions matter does Pep want him do the club think he's good value.

The value of a player comes down to how much we willing to pay....simple as that! We have departments that are experts in the market and what is "fair market value" for a player......If we end up paying 60mil+ its because we've spent hours/weeks/months comparing viable options and agree that the price will fit into our short/long term financial planning for the club.....price means very little to me. It's all about filling needs and signing targets. How we sign that target and for how much is irrelevant....

150 posts about a fee that isn't confirmed yet, it's so dull.

Fees are only mentioned when a team or player are underperforming. When we picked up our 100th point of the season, who was talking about our fullbacks, our record signing defender, our very expensive goalkeeper? No-one.

Pep thinks he's the one, get him in and let's see what he adds rather than bleating about a fee which isn't 'real money' based on a tangible market, it's all relative.
