O.k., this is a much longer shot, but just for speculation's sake (and that's all that happens on forums): if UEFA say that according to FFP regulations, you can buy M'Bappé for £150/160 million, or Mahrez for £75 mill, but not both. What do you think Pep says?

Not sure mbappe huge wage will go down well with our other stars

Some people don’t want him... may I respectfully ask why??

Better than Bernardo on the right, freeing both Bernardo and Sterling to play in central roles. Sterling becomes our third ‘striker’, whilst of course still rotating with Mahrez on the right.

Great signing.

Probably reason he is underrated is because he plays for Leicester rather than a top European side.

Leicester fan in peace.

I do think that Chelsea will bid for him as soon as they sort out their manager problem if the deal with your club isn't done until then. Mahrez is one of our greatest players ever. There aren't many players in the league that can beat their opponent like he does, he's an intelligent player with a great vision and his first touch is honestly one of the best, if not the best in the world. He's also never injured.

Sure, he has poor games (which player doesn't) but when he's on it, he's unplayable. It is also worth to say that Danny Simspon, our RB, whilst being a very solid defender and covering for Mahrez (the latter does track back but is shit at defending) is absolutely crap going forward. This means that Riyad operates alone upfront, with more than often two or three opponents on his back.

Our season after winning the title looked like a never ending hang-over, we lost a key player in Kanté and he as well as the rest of the team didn't do great. But this season, under Puel he came back to his 2015/16 level, some of us dare say he was even better. Then you guys bid for him and as the deal collapsed, he snapped out and went on strike, breaking the team's momentum which ultimately cost us the 7th place. He still was one of the best performers of the second half of the season.

Whilst being gutted to see him go, a large majority of us are convinced that he's going to reach another level if he's coached by Pep and surrounded by better players.
Welcome and thanks for posting. What do you think about Iheanacho? Seemed to have picked a bit of form towards the end of the season.

The kid has potential, yet to be confirmed. It was hard for him to settle in as he came from a team used to have possession, tons of goal chances and play on the floor to another with low possession and more based on counter-attacking. He was also used as SS or 10 which isn't his position of choice. I and others saw him as a good goal poacher but weren't sure he'd cut it playing behind the striker in our system and feared that he would end as a talented misfit, benched because not suited to the actual style of play.

Things changed under Puel as we're slowly evolving to a more possession based football where he can be played to his strenghts and he indeed picked form.

He's still blowing hot and cold, being sublime one day and abysmal on the next one but he undoubtedly is quality imho. Clever, good finisher and an astonishingly good vision for a striker. His link-up with Mahrez and vardy greatly improved and it's just sad that we'll never get to see the trio firing on all cylinders. First touch could be improved as well as stamina though. All in all, he just needs a good run of games to build some confidence.

I think that he's going to play a big role for us next season and we will really see what he's capable of.

His first touch has always been an issue, he needs to work on controlling the ball with his weaker foot.

As a sub he will do great. Sometimes you just need the talent around you. He maybe lost motivation at Leicester but on his day he’s quality

SOOOOOO much more than a sub. I don't get the apathy around this guy.

Positives
1) Great first touch
2) Excellent finisher
3) Calm presence on the ball and good vision for all range of passes
4) In the Premier League, has an almost un-equalled ability to run with the ball and beat defenders.
5) Is a half decent defender (at times) and not scared of putting in a tackle (occasionally).
6) Rarely injured
7) Desperate to play for us

Negatives
1) Threw the dummy.
I get some on here worrying about him spitting it.
To be fair, in some ways that shows how much he wanted to join us. He's human. Who wouldn't have been gutted?

2) Questionable work rate.
Let's face it he was an automatic pick at Leicester. He will have to work hard at City and my gut feeling is he will

I think Mahrez will amazing in our team and will be wetting myself if he signs.

If we’re paying 75 million for Mahrez we should pay an extra 25 million and break the bank for someone with a lot more potential like Mbappe instead. Aguero will be gone next summer so surely that’s a no brainier if he’s available?? For me Mbappe is more of the player we need can play wide also and think we would get more out of him. Jesus and Mbappe when aguero leaves would be out of this world along side sterling and sane and bernado that forward line would definitely dominate for years to come Please pep sign Mbappe instead of Mahrez!

You think we could get Mbappe for 100m? He will probably not be on the market this summer either, so very unreaslistic

Why would Mbappe go for around half of what Monaco agreed to sell him for just a season ago?

If PSG have to sell players there'll be a whole list of them before Mbappe.

Worst case scenario I imagine there's a clause in the deal that should they fail FFP, and not be able to afford him, that the obligation to buy is void but they have to pay Monaco a knockdown fee instead of the obscene original amount.
