Aldridge just appologised

**** must not watch granada news or NWT or any fucking news in the last week to have missed the symbolism.

The **** knew exactly what he was replying to and what he was saying, just didn't expect the reaction he got. He can shove his apology up his arse and take a short walk off a tall building.

When ex players try to stay in the spot light by reverting to twitter and other social media to have exchanges with strangers that hit the bottom of the barrel in a hear beat its blue van time for them ala JA.

Can't wait for his informed commentary on Tranmere TV in years to come.

My take on this rivalry... a small minority of Liverpool fans are obviously complete idiots - but this small minority doesn't at all seem to be representative of the typical Liverpool supporter.

That said - Liverpool need to come down very strongly against these idiots to make 100% clear that this sort of behavior is intolerable - they've not done so IMO.

The problem is, they haven’t come down on them and they never will. Nothing ever is done and they close ranks whatever scummy acts the team or their fans commit. Manslaughter, attempted murder? Stick together. Biting, racism? Stick together. Bricking opposition coaches? Stick together

The only time they don’t is when their keeper lets them down in a final. Everything else they won’t lift a finger against their own fans or team.

At least we had genuinely won it by then... The absolute arrogance of Liverpool football club, and its deluded “worldwide fan base” is, much like the rags, something that knows no bounds

Had this one out before and they didn’t reply then. Having the parade arranged isn’t arrogance it’s called planning.

So....

You keep losing in the final
And it’s never going to stop
You’ll always keep on choking
When you have Jurgen Klopp

Basel, Wembley, Kiev
You’ve lost the fucking lot
Karius is our hero
He can’t stop a shot

Alez Alez Alez etc

Would love to sing this at Klanfield!

Well said. I agree with our blue in Washington that most Liverpool fans are decent. Especially the ones abroad as they simple follow the club and aren't totally in the culture. But if those fans were truly ashamed by half the stuff mentioned in your post they'd be contacting their own club to complain or making it known on their own forums. But somehow I doubt that they bother.

The kicker here is these fuckers got exactly what they want.

They have an excuse.

It was Ramos you see, because Salah was the best player on the pitch and they'd have easily won 5-0 if Salah wasn't murdered.

It was Karius. He was paid to do it you see.

Deep, deep down they know they were never good enough and shouldn't have even been in a final but for the refs ensuring they were.

I hope this causes an implosion. If Klopp isn't 100% by October they'll Rodgers him, mark my words.
Listening to radio Merseyside’s post match phone in last Saturday night,(Which, for those of you who weren’t lucky enough to hear it first hand, may I fully recommend the listen back facility on your bbc i-player radio app.... absolute comedy gold) some fans are already on his case, saying that the only reason Karius got a game was because he was a fellow German Klipperty should therefore be held fully responsible for the whole sorry mess

Fair enough - some of the shit they've done is off-scale horrible.

Arrest the bastards and throw them in jail.

But... the average Liverpool fan - is he/or she, worthy of absolute disdain?

I think not, but I'm from the states. If said average Liverpool fan isn't pushing for punishment of the minority Liverpool hooligans... then yes, the club as a whole is rotten.
I don't think I've seen a single condemnation of the bus attack from Liverpool fans. Which sums them up.

Watch the video and then do some simple maths. There were about 200 missiles thrown at the bus. Assuming that most people throwing only threw one thing, that's 200 people amongst their fan base that are willing to throw stuff at an opposing team. How many people were there to 'greet' the bus? I'm speculating, but that could easily be about 10% of the people who were close enough to throw something. Now any other club that had 10% of their fans willing to throw things at opposition players would be in a whole heap of shit. And most other fan bases would be willing to condemn behaviour like this, like Chelsea fans did with the racist pricks in Paris. But I genuinely haven't seen any Liverpool fans condemning the bus attack. They think it's hilarious. Of course it might very well be the case that any high-profile Liverpool fan who does speak out is subjected to the sort of mafia treatment that Steven Gerrard got when he wanted to leave. But that's what happens in a cult.

You then also have to look at the way the club reacts to such things. One of the reasons we consider certain Eastern European clubs to be racist scum isn't just because a certain section of their fans racially abuse opposition players, but because the first reaction of the club itself is always to come out and deny it or try and downplay it. Again, compare that to the reaction of Chelsea when their fans were found racially abusing someone in Paris, they came out with a strong statement condemning the actions, and promising to make every effort to identify and ban the fans. Where is the similar statement from Liverpool regarding their hooligans? But this is a club that, when Luis Suarez was accused of racially abusing another player, instead of delivering a measured statement about helping the FA with their investigations and how the player denies the accusations, sanctioned their squad engaging in a PR exercise on the pitch to try and discredit the other player.

All clubs have fans who are dickheads. All clubs have the odd player who makes a mistake. Only one club in English routinely makes excuses for these people, which validates them, and results in scenes like we saw at Anfield where a substantial minority are willing to commit violence, and seemingly a majority of those looking on see no real problem with it. If you want to see how seriously Liverpool takes this kind of thing, ask them how many fans they have banned because of the bus attack.

Well said.
