His 'up-and-at-'em' style is not designed for longevity: his sides always look fatigued by about the 65th minute mark, and dead on their feet by the 80th.
Let's be honest, they reached the CL final because of some dodgy refereeing decisions and a lot of good fortune, not because they were the better team throughout the tournament. And it's not sour grapes when I say we were better than them, because we were. Our respective league positions and points total was proof of our superiority.
I have no doubt that had it been us reaching the final we would have won it.

Drawing them in the quarters was the worst draw for us 100%

I think klippety will have a dilemma next season. He needs a trophy to justify his extravagant spending but it will be difficult to be consistent with so many new midfield players who are new to the Premier League. I expect to see him going strong in the cups and being happy with third/fourth in the league.

I wonder if trying to move to a more creative midfield is going to be more successful for Klopp? - he had better midfielders at Dortmund than those currently at Liverpool so it could work but let's hope it ends in disaster!

Anything to sell more candles!

Trying to sign a whole new midfield in one window (and all from abroad) is a disaster waiting to happen.

Hope so, but you cannot deny there is quality and steel in that midfield, plus decent sqaud depth (Henderson,Ox,Milner) in that area. Add in Klopp who mostly gets the best out of players and that midfield has the potential to be one of the best in the League.

Wouldn't rate anyone they're signing as much better than Wijnaldum or Oxlaide-Chamberlain. Maybe Fekir but much harder to do it in the Premier League than Ligue 1 as Lacazette has found out. Never wanted Fabinho here and I think a lot on here overrated him because he was getting linked to us so often. Lots of goals scored from his position but the vast majority of them from the spot.

Klopp that despite his brilliance can't win anything in the prem in 3 yrs and has lost 6 out of 7 finals klopp?

That's because he doesn't have much tactical flexibility other than a brilliant Plan A, and his squad lacks depth and quality in some positions compared to City, United or Madrid. He played TAA and Robertson in a CL final. He gets the best out of the players, which you may agree as well.

Here's the question though. Are they signing anyone on the level of Kev or Silva? Not even close really. Would any of the players they are signing seriously have competed for midfield control with Kroos and Modric in the final the other night?

Individually, all those players are a level below Kev/Silva right now, but Fabinho and Fekir has potential to improve. Their midfield has slightly more pace and energy than ours though. We have seen this season how their midfield were a match for us.

No i don't agree at all,i hear klopp is brilliant all the time from the media and he has done nothing in 3 yrs to justify it

Pace maybe at a big push but nowhere near the brains of our midfield unless you are comparing dave or kev to henderson?

They pressed well, got a few breaks with our dodgy defending (and the odd decision) and finished well. But in none of their games against us did they control the midfield. Their entire game plan was based around the fact that they knew they couldn't match us in midfield.

Liverpool's strategy against us was fantastic. We'll need to figure out how to counter that next season.

Do you hate Klopp ? Why can't you see the obvious ?

1. Taking Liverpool to CL final, in fact 2 European finals in 2.75 seasons
2. The only team in the PL who broke our invincibility and had the better of us this season
3. Salah
4. Unbeaten at home this season. How many teams have defeated Liverpool playing football ? Maybe Real and Spurs, the rest of the defeats have been nick a goal and park the bus.
5. Liverpool looks well equipped for a title challenge if they bring in a new goal keeper, much more than United who have better individual players.

Klipperty is an annoying fucking wanker...he's actually a point worse off at the end of this season than he was the season before.
So he's not actually closing the gap is he ...
Teams that defend against Klippertys team will get results more often than they will against us.
Do you think that winning fuck all in 3 seasons make him a great manager, because I don't.
He's a cup manager rather than a league manager...none of their midfield including new signings would get into our 1st team.
They will be in top 4 unless Chelsea and Arsenal improve drastically.
