If we win the league again next season, and throw in another trophy like this season, i couldn't give a toss if the dippers do the double over us. At the end of seadon we'll have real trophies and they can have their "we beat city twice" cup.
This.

I was gutted on the day that we lost to the rags. Whilst it would have been to secure the league by beating them, what matters is that we won the league. As with the dippers, I’d take losing at home to the rags all day long if it meant another double.

There was a time when avoiding relegation and beating the rags counted as a successful season, those days are over.

So Mane's sending off is relevant but the decisions Liverpool got in their favour in both CL games and the league game at Anfield aren't?
But in other games we have had bad refereeing decisions but still found a way to win.so are Liverpool almost ou4 equal and we need the rub of the green to go our way( that’s not true comparing th3 teams on paper, it must be their pattern of play worries us, so what do we do to change things next season

Don’t get me wrong, I couldn’t believe the way w3 stood up after that run of bad results and beat spurs.then finished the run in in style. Proud as , and two trophies I know it’s being greedy but I would have loved to have won the league against the rags( becaus3 we smashed them but had a horrendous 15 mins.) but it wasn’t a one off against Liverpool so I want to know why their style suits our game enough to make it difficult for us three times.

At the top of their game they are almost our equal. Their problem is they can't maintain that form consistently because it is so intense, they can't even maintain it within 90 minutes sometimes.

What do we do? Match their intensity in them games and our quality will come to the fore ( providing we don't get multiple dodgy decisions against us)

Not sure where this animosity is coming from honesty.

Probably you hate Liverpool - for reasons, as a person born and living in the states - I won't ever appreciate.

That aside - Klopp is a wonderful manager.

Liverpool's current owners won't spend anything like we will - they have a limited budget. The team Klopp took over was a mess.

Has he won the PL title in his tenure? Nope.

Will he before he leaves - probably not.

That said, he's a very solid manager, has improved his side tremendously, and honestly, given his budget, is doing far better than some run-of-the-mill manager (Rodgers, Dalgleish, etc.).
Christ. You Yanks eh.

FWIW, Rogers did better and spent less in the league.

An appropriate punishment would be too make them play in the qualifying rounds (instead of Spurs) and, if they qualify, play their first home group game behind closed doors.

Will never happen though. I would be surprised if they get anything more than a fine. Would even be happy with a suspended threat of closed doors games.

Nobody is playing in the qualifying rounds though, not even Spurs!
If they have to play behind closed doors it should be their first and second home games when they next reach the knockout stages.

Agreed, I thought when we were under pressure we didn’t work hard enough to be available for the short pass to negate the rush.we left players isolated.( example was that passage of play when the full back harassed everyone across the back, would have love to see loads of support to pass it around him to make him look silly.instead he became cult hero.anyway, Nuffield said.

I presume SkySportsNews is chockablock with experts giving opinions for and against any punishment for Liverpool. All voicing a consensus that Liverpool are guilty but it's just a matter of how to deal with it so that they and others don't repeat such thuggish behaviour. All in agreement that the interest of fairness, decency and the perception of Britain from afar Liverpool must hold their hands up. And I presume the written media and sport talk media are the same.

Or not. Cos perhaps that's not as bad as a half finished tattoo. And maybe they all think it's fine and Dandy for Liverpool but heavens forbid if twas a Russian club.

After the fantastic end to the season topped off by Liverpool and united losing in finals we all are pinching ourselves about watching this incredible city side.
But I’m sure, deep down we all would have loved to come out of our battles with Liverpool if not ahead then all square.
Reality is they beat us three out of four.everyone else we bossed.at home we won 5-0 but mane sent off at 1-0 then Klopp inexplicably takes off Salah.it has since been proved Liverpool are an average team without him.
So next season wh3n we face them again (with Salah ) what will pep do to change the results of their high press and fast break.
The perfect season next year would be to retain the league title and boss Liverpool .
Please dont trot out the referee or disallowed goals .yes they would have changed the result in the second champions league game, but we had the whole of second half to beat them.
Klopp record against peps teams can’t be ignored.
Simply, what do we change next season to dominate Liverpool.
Keep the ball better, under pressure.

Pep learns with every game we play against our opponents. He's got the rags, spurs and Chavs measured. I'm convinced he'll do the same with the dippers and we'll win there next season.
