Seems daft that we are prepared to spend 60m Euros on Fred but only 50m on Jorgino when it seems if we offered 60m we would get him. Ah well all will be revealed in good time in a couple of weeks or by the end of the month probably. :-)



Sorry - Senior moment, obviously guaranteed to go to rags and this is for the press to say he snubbed us even though everything was same. Should know by now.

I'm actually glad we're not getting Fred I want someone to play in the ya ya or fern role to be more imposing, what's Fred 5ft 3" or something, I want someone like ya ya over 6ft, we have enough small players I want a bruiser in there like de Jong.

A bruiser? thats not happening anytime soon.

Nigel de Jong was an excellent passer of the ball, and if he was still around now I think Pep would keep him, anyway I remember him in that LC game at Anfield where he scored that screamer from 30 yards, he was a player who gave 100% every game.
 
If we walk away, I won’t complain. It’s nice showing these clubs that we pay our price or we just move on. It’s not the end of the world if we don’t get Jorginho.

really isnt as good for us as you think. if we dont pay it other clubs will this they dont lose anything, does nothing but just cause us to miss out on targets.

Doesn't appear that anyone else is stepping up to pay more for him.
Don't think we should be held over a barrell for this player.
 
So let’s catch everyone up to speed.
ADL is acknowledging our FIRST bid(that was reported a while ago).

Also don’t know if I posted it in here or just left it on twitter but he has just recently won a FFP award.


Which brings me to the next point.
Hes trying to bring in 2 new CM and it is my belief that the money for Jorginho is going to cover the fees for both.

There’s 3 common names mentioned as replacements: Parades from Zenit,
Lucas Torreira from Sampdoria(who I think we should look at just in case Jorginho falls through) and Fabian Ruiz from Real Betis.

Here’s some info about Torreira and Napoli:

Torreira could get expensive(Sampdoria wants more than €30M) and he wants to wait till after the World Cup where he gets to supply 2 of the best STs in the game in Suarez & Cavani which will surely up his value.

Fabian Ruiz: has a €32M release clause so should be pretty straight forward.

Some Napoli/Italian outlets report ADL is holding out for €70M but we should be able to meet at €60-65M
