Yaya says Pep "does not like African players" - Pep says "he's lying and knows it"

Yaya Touré: "At City, I took advantage of my status as their first big player to raise the stakes (wages). This status has a price. But now, I no longer have this status, so I'm cheaper."

Pretty poor accusation to throw at someone. It's so often the race card with Yaya.

We're literally in the process of making an African player our record signing. Someone clearly Pep is asking for.

It makes Yaya look such a tit. Oh well, good player, poor attitude and worse agent.

oh yeah pep hates you

I feel like a right twat now. genuinely believed he had some loyalty, some affection to this club. this is him spitting in the face of the whole organisation. makes me want to puke

Without reading the last 37 pages, is this not just a case of being misquoted in a foreign language?
Wouldn't be the first time it has happened.

*I am hopeful that is all it is*

It’s not.

I'm afraid you will be disappointed. As we all are. Yes; the bloke gave us 8 years service (the first four of them incredible). But I'm sure he was fairly well rewarded for his efforts. And now he delivers a severe kick in the bollocks to our coach/manager. Classy.

Real shame it had to end like this, but Yaya always has to be the main man. He has had a great career at City but tarnished it completely with all these classless comments about Pep.

Karmas a b**tch and all of this will come back to bite him now. What club wants to take on someone like this? Either in a playing role or especially in a coaching role.

Congratulations Yaya, you just simultaneously tainted your past and your future. Goodbye and good riddance

Yeah, he didn’t call Pep a racist and say he “wants to destroy the Pep myth”. What he actually said was Pep loves him and is a great manager. Easily confused from one language to another.

All those poor players like Alves, Abidal, Song, Henry, Alaba that Guardiola discriminated against. Poor lads.

It was always obvious that despite what Yaya did as a player on the field, he was a ****. Fuck him.

Bye bye Ya Ya , you were a great player but no class, don’t darken our door again .

There is no gain, the guy is a grade A fucking pleb who has drug our club through the dirt time and time again. People claimed it was his agent, people are thick. We all should tug ourselves over him though because he done his job he was paid well over the odds to do. Glad his true colours have come out, again.
For once Tom, you're right imo, make use of it while it lasts :)

Pep is rarely wrong about players

Hart - scratching about for a club.
Nasri - disappeared into Turkish obscurity.
Bony - disappeared into Welsh obscurity.
Ihenacho - not ready to lead the line for a top club (yet).

Yaya on the other hand has a history of ridiculous behaviour

Best thing that Pep and the club can do is treat this with the contempt it deserves, say nothing and win trophies next season with an African player making a big contribution.
