Yaya says Pep "does not like African players" - Pep says "he's lying and knows it"

If anything, Pep has been kind to Yaya despite all the nonsense his agent spouted against him. He and the club doesn't deserve this and Yaya will not be forgiven.
On a positive note, Yaya and perhaps more importantly his agent are someone else's problem now.

I recall Soriano saying in some speech in Abu Dhabi that getting rid of Etoo was the best decision he's made in football.

Seluk's latest comments that African Shamans have put a curse on Pep actually makes a fool of his client. I am starting to think that Ya Ya's state of mind is not really a laughing matter.

If people care to read the "thanks Yaya" thread almost everyone is gushing with praise. My contribution is on page 2, when I asked the question about what his quotes and opinions would be of the club. I Knew what they would be.

I think the reaction to his latest qoutes are so extreme because most people feel so decieved by him. I have recieved alot of abuse in the past because of my condemnation of Toure. The majority of fans have shown him immense loyalty and he has repaid it in this way. Reading the thread i can feel their pain.Perhaps it is Time to send him to Coventry, an apt place. No more threads or posts, nada. Blank him.

He’s been nothing but complimentary about the fans. He’s slagged off Guardiola and maybe some other people at the club but they’re not ‘the club’. When Guardiola moves on, City will still exist.

Pep could very well prove to be our greatest manager in our history, wanting him to fail as Yaya said is clearly an attack on the club too

He has been a shit stirring ****, praise the fans at the end of it and he will appease a few like yourself and that is your prerogative.
The long term aim of the club has been to get rid of players who are themselves as bigger than the club. He was the last.

He's not the first and won't be the last City player to be a legend on the field and a complete arsehole off it. We have had a few over the years since I started watching City and I have met some of them.
The reverse is also true I have met a few rag players who I hated on the field but off it were great people. It's always best to separate the player from the man.

I’m glad we’re getting rid of the players who think they are bigger than the club, but my point is that Guardiola isn’t bigger than the club either nor is he the club. The truth is Yaya has disrespected elements of the club but at the same time, he’s been respectful to other elements of the club, mainly the team with his performances on the pitch. It’s a mixed picture. We can vilify him and to a certain extent, he should be but to say he’s been nothing but disrespectful to City isn’t true because the manager does not make the club.

Vincent Kompany (DR Congo), Leroy Sane and Benjamin Mendy (Senegal) and Brahim Diaz (Morocco) are playing role under Guardiola. Mahrez (when he does sign) will add to our African contingent.

I also get the feeling that the rest of the football world is not fussed what Yaya and his agent says anymore. No one seems too fussed about what they think. They, like us, are bored of his nonsense. They know that the pair are strange, to say the least. Both looking for one more payday. Personally, take down the mosaic, take his life pass off him, and fuck him would be my approach.

A wise perspective.

Though I think you can also distinguish between behaviour outside of the club, and comments about the club or colleagues at the club.
For instance Toure having an affair is private business, demanding a new contract before the week is out and through the media is not.

The sad thing is, (especially after he's clearly collaborated yet again more sinister nonsense with his idiotic agent) Yaya will go down as a player we should be remembering for all the wonderful football moments he gave us.

All this has left a sour taste. Talk about biting the hand that feeds you. He bit it off and spat it out.

From Legend to Leg-end. Apt name for a future biography!

Agreed. I can't recall any ex players being so savage about a manager and we have had some truly terrible managers! I remember Rodney Marsh gave Saunders a lot of abuse and he went on to win the title with Villa.
