Think I’ve mentioned to you a while back(not bothered if you remember or not) that I’m socially left of centre so none of his ‘leftie’policies grind my gears, maybe you was trying to drag me into a rwnj homo hating anti medical weed poor child killing argument or was you was just being you I don’t know and don’t really care,
Imo Obama was a very good orator but a bit of a fraud as a president and a hypocrite as an ex president, once again in US terms he is to the left of politics even if that’s just to the left of pol pot, have yourself a peachy day shawn (it is shawn isn’t it?)

If you're socially left of centre why the fuck do you like a man that is doing his best to make health care unaffordable for those that most need it?
 
Blame the Democrats for Trump being in office. Joe Biden was ‘requested’ by the party not to run against Clinton to give her what they expected was a clear run into the Whitehouse. A Biden V Trump election would seen a Democrat win.
If there is any good out of Trump being in office it has thus far avoided conflict with North Korea. Despite being a Democrat, Clinton is far more hawkish and likely to have engaged the DPRK either directly or by proxy.
 
Great achievement to be sitting down with North Korea - has to be applauded.

What a laughable statement, the US could have have sat down with North Korea anytime they wanted to, if they (the US), weren't so arrogant and provocative to North Korea in the first place.

It has become increasingly clear over the last few months, that it is the US that has always been the obstacle to peace between the two Koreas.

It's almost as if the US is a giant war machine always looking to manufacture conflicts to justify it's obscene spending on weapons.

Can’t remember saying I liked all his policies tho under Obama care the middle classes can’t afford health care, there must be a better and more cost effective way an NHS type model perhaps

Why? I'd imagine with the international clout that America has, they probably could have had talks before now. I'd be interested in the reasons why these talks are now taking place. Is her North Korean fella wanting to get some cash from America to maybe start feeding his people? Is Trump trying to piss off China by talking to the North? Does Don want to open a golf course in North Korea??

You are giving the scion of a tin pot dictator (who only has the job because his half-brother didn't want it, which didn't stop said scion from murdering him anyway) a spot on the main stage of world diplomacy, which he thinks is because he can suddenly maybe hit Guam with the occasional nuclear-tipped missile, but is actually because the President of the USA is so fucking stupid that he thinks he can increase his standing the world's eyes by either playing tough with rocket man or kowtowing to him.

This is the equivalent of asking the 12 year-old who puts flaming piles of dogshit on your stoop, or plays ding-dong-ditch every day, inside for a nice spaghetti dinner and a couple of hours of Mario Kart 8.

Absolute insanity to think it should be "applauded", unless you believe these two monstrous liars are telling the truth for the first time ever.

So why didn't America do it? Because keeping Kim under control is China's job, and an excellent stick to beat them with, duh.

How weak do the Chinese look if they can't control a small boy playing war? Incredibly weak. So they put him in the corner every now and again to avoid diplomatic embarrassment.

Now that the U.S. is no longer Kim's indifferent neighbor but babysitter-cum-parent, his inevitable tantrums, threats and fuck-ups will be the U.S.'s responsibility to police, just like his toys (i.e. nukes).

Incidentally, how would you feel about this summit if you were part of a hyper-secretive North Korean underground bent on eventually overthrowing him from within for all of his family's horrific misdeeds and abuses?
 
So what are the odds on a CIA inspired coup against Kim whilst he is safely out of the country? In the good old days it would have been a racing certainty but now maybe not so much. Still there have to be some disaffected NK Generals who fancy a go at supreme power.

The last bit? Not my concern, but maybe that's why he's put all his own men in place (killed, or disappeared anyone who threatened him), so when this move happened he didn't immediately get slotted? I suppose we'll all find out in good time what's going on.
