The awkward moment when he's been working tirelessly on his distribution all summer and comes back and plays like peak Neuer.

Don't think loans help him, he needs to make a clean break and start afresh, if necessary take a pay cut and secure a permamemt transfer,

If he doesn't take a pay cut now he definitely will when his contract ends - he gave us some great memories, just hope his career will continue (elsewhere) for more years yet.

Slippy G could perhaps use a keeper, he'd only have to perform in 4/5 games.

I did wonder whether Celtic or Rangers would be an option for him - but longer term he’ll need to take a huge pay cut. That said if a poor season at Torino and sitting on the bench at West Ham didn’t give him an indication of his present predicament then he’s gonna have to reappraise his position at some point . He’s presently an average Premier League keeper at best - and he’s going to struggle to extend his career if he doesn’t lower his wage demands. I thought he was exceptional for us under Mancini but he’s fallen away from those standards - significantly and only he knows if he can get back to those levels again. I wish him well.

How long is left on his contract? And any idea what he's on?

that's what worries me.

Joe served us well in his day no doubting that. But felt when his new contract was offered the regime at the time where a bit naive. Looks like this could be another player we pay for doing nothing, Samir nasri, the list has been long. I think those days are going to be few and far between as time goes on.

Yep and you can't really blame Joe either. It might be that he's being asked to take a 50% pay cut to play elsewhere. You'd hope that a sensible compromise could be found, maybe we pay him half of what's left of his contract to get him off the books and then as a free agent he should be able to find a decent club on decent enough wages (maybe even with a signing on bonus). I see little value to anyone in another loan where we pay most of the wages
