I’m no expert on Italian labour law but the fact that Sarri was Napoli Manager but that role has now been given to Ancelotti - doesn’t that mean that Sarri is redundant? How can Napoli demand £20m for someone who doesn’t have a job? All feels a bit odd but then again so is Italy.

Nothing stopping Napoli having 10 managers if the owner is stupid enough to keep paying them all....ADL will have to pay off Sarri if they sack him, so keeping him on the books, hoping Chelsea will take him off their hands (for a fee) makes alot of sense....

Personally Don’t think either are good enough if we want to become a true elite side. Walker has too many brain farts and Danilo is just a squad option.
Agree, only got 100 points in the league and 2 trophies last season

It would depend on the role and the stipulations of his contract. If they're not allowing him to do any coaching work and it was a permanent employment contract, maybe. It's a fixed term contract though and we don't know the parameters of his role.

The contract could also have a cooling off period after cease of employment that Napoli would have to waive before he could take another head coach job.

Interesting.

As far as the De Laurentiis- Sarri relationship went, for the first three quarters of last season there was a general sense of everything being one of friendly congeniality.

Then, in early 2018 they had a major disagreement about tactics / player selection which Sarri found hard to accept, things went arse about face from there onwards. Especially when there was a dip in form and they surrendered the Serie A leadership to Juventus.

ADL will have factored all this into new concept of Sarri, post Napoli.

This will be part of the plan he has in making life difficult for Sarri.

Like selling his players to Sarri's next team?

Well, as much as the parting was unpleasant, De Laurentiis would prioritise the 30 pieces of silver before anything else. The money thing trumps everything.

You have already admitted on this thread that you havent got a clue what is going on so how do you know what City are doing and their stance in this transfer and how do you know what Napoli's stance is? You are merely speculating and guessing and you havent got a clue

Obviously, we’re the best prem side ever there’s no doubt about that. I don’t think the Pl has ever had an elite side though.
Mate we'll get there, you think Pep didn't place any conditions in his renewal contract extension? Khaldon will get Pep his hallmark player this summer or the next so don't worry too much about it.
