As with the Sanchez situation in January, if there isn't a suitable alternative who we genuinely want available then we should keep our powder dry - I'd rather see us give the likes of Mooy, Zinchenko, Delph and the new kid from PSG a go there first rather than splashing out on a panic but we will regret in twelve months time. We can always re-asses the situation in January if we think we need something extra to get us over the line in the various competitions we are still chasing at that stage. NO PANIC BUYS!

As you rightly point out out Tony , supporters are at times strange, emotional and irrational people , and turning the focus on the player who doesn't sign , is a coping mechanism and just a way of making themselves feel better about a situation which they cannot control . I think .

If the rumours about Chelsea are true, I would guess the club have known this for a while and have already started moving onto a new target.

Agreed, although I doubt City would brief such at this stage, if only to ensure whoever else we move for, their club doesn't ramp up the price.

I thought he was poor in the big games for bayern. I get the feeling he doesnt want to be there.
