Why do the majority of football shirts look so cheap and tacky. They are mega expensive - so why do so few look any good.

Because simple is apparently not going to sell and the new generation of artistic design engineers can’t bring themselves to do it.

Our 2010 kit was super simple and brilliant. Plain blue with some white trim.

Utd have a couple of times but usually wear black shorts and black socks for most away derby games.

We’ve changed the shorts on the odd occasion.

Umbro's Everton kit is a nice throwback

My ERO has texted me with what looks like the away kit - splodges of royal blue randomly splashed on a white background. He is well taken with it. And it's spreading! I saw another as I exited the local Asda last Saturday.

I see MANUre have launched the full kit - DT reporting a cost of £180+! £110 for the shirt. Don't know whether it's one of those matchday shirts or what. But it does have a little train graphic to offer more than a nod to 140years of the Lancashire and Yorkshire Railway - the 1878 version of today's Northern Rail. And, of course, let's not forget that in 1878 Newton Heath wasn't part of Manchester! If they knew their histree, like wot Dippers do, they'd understand they haven't got a cotton thread's connection to Our City!
