Can Blind fill a similar role at Ajax? If so, it would seem more likely Frankie De Jong is available? lots of rumours that Barcelona are already in talks to sign him, so if Ajax are willing to sell, think we'd have to move fast on this one..

Considering they had earmarked 100 million for Griezmann burning a hole in their pocket, not sure there is much to be concerned about + there will be well over 100 million cleared from the books in this transfer window as well (Digne, Gomes, Rafinha, Mina, Deulofeu, Paulinho, Vidal, Munir, Marlon & Paco)

More concerned about the targets, De Jong is a lock - only a question of now or 2019

Plus, with Ajax signing Blind & Tadic - timing might be now

That was written before Jorginho fell through, so we didn't have the space then.


I'd love him as a Jorginho alternative but I think Ajax have been pretty insistent he's not going anywhere.

Blind can also play CB and DM as well as LB, so maybe they're willing to let De Jong go? If we don't go for Ndombele, De Jong would be great
