Only 50? I think that would be a good price for him. Only 24 and could have 8-9 good seasons left. I see that a lot of people mentions that he struggles to get enough playing time, but you should not forget he is competing with Modric, Rakitic(national team), Casemiro, Kroos and Isco

I rate the guy, looks good every time I see him. Big strong lad.

He is also behind brozovic as well who is only a year one and available for 50mil euros according to his agent

Brozovic is also a good playee, but personally I think Kovacic did better than Brozovic in the world cup. My point was that Kovacic is still a very good player, but many underrates him because the likes of Modric, Kroos, Casemiro and Rakitic is ahead of him in the pecking order
 
And several other clubs become interested and we have a stand off which could leave us empty handed and another year down the line. We would then actually be desperate with fern all but finished and clubs knowing we need a replacement there and then. Tough job this transfer business
 
His young which is a plus but every time I’ve seen him play can’t say he was anything special or even stood out. Don’t think he has lived up to his potential but again he is still young and could be a good player.

Thankfully we have the best in the business conducting such.
 
This is the only deal I can see happening this summer. Very similar to Danilo last year this could happen very quickly if we want it to.

Like Fern, goes quietly about his business. Not in Fern's class, but is young and could learn a lot.
 
Another 100 page discussion for someone who won't sign for us and something which Martin Blackburn and Sam Lee have stated already and after that there will be non stop Txiki bashing of he signs for United or Pool
