He is a player you trust implicitly. His technical ability is off the charts. Simply put he is an excellent footballer.

Like Fernandinho, the immense work he did in running players down & stopping Arsenal from playing, has been completely discounted by some, & only the bollocky pass completion etc stats remain.

Luckily for him, he scored.

Did a fucking great job, chasing everything ' like a 4th div player' as Pep says. Then killed it with quality.

Not like Fernandihno, as Fernandihno didn't really do that. Albeit, you repeating it on every thread though might convince you.

Yes Bernado was great harrying the defense and aiding our press, but if that is the essence of playing well, what the fuck do we need the Silva''s for? We should just get Ndidi and Mark Noble. God knows they can harras all day.

Bernado was deemed poor in the first half coz he had almost no influence on the game for stretches. I think he touched the ball about 18 times the whole 1st half. The play passed him by. But feel free to call him spectacular for hustling

Bernardo will have a great season and will score a fair few goals as well.

As others have stated as well as the silky skills he also puts in the effort and assists in the press. Bargain at £43m

I think the realisation is beginning to sink in that we have a very very special player in Bernardo.

Ok I will, he was fucking spectacular, for his work without the ball & that workrate from our attacking players, plus good defending from 3 of our defenders & brilliant work covering def mistakes, by Fernandinho, is the main reason we were able to impose our game on Arsenal.

As a playmaker Bernardo was crowded out for the first hour or so because Arsenal's formation was very narrow and they packed the central areas, yes he worked hard as he always does but his influence going forward was very limited. That changed after Mahrez went off and Bernardo spent more time on the right where there was more space for him to operate. He's an excellent player but not quite the finished article yet in terms of replacing David Silva who has an uncanny ability to find space in seemingly crowded areas of the pitch.

Hopefully Pep will find a way to play KDB, Silva, Bernardo, two wingers and forward together.
Only way would be to play KDB as a deep-lying playmaker and bench Fernandinho. Don’t see that happening, but it would be one of our options if Fernandinho gets injured.

Walker----Stones--Laporte---Delph
---------------KDB---------
----------Silva-----Silva
Mahrez-----Sterling------Sane

I just want to say, what a magnificent goal it was. I think it would have won our goal of the season last year comfrotably, it was so good! I had every expectation that it was going to go miles over the bar as it would 99% of the time with any other player. He made an incredibly difficult goal look like a piece of piss.

He literally subverts every previous expectation of a footballer through his incredible technique.

We scored 3 better goals in the same stadium last season for a start.
Well that's coming down to taste now as to what kind of goal you like. I think the technique on the strike was magnificent, as a shot it was better than any from last year and I'm going to stand by it.

Really? Not even top 10!

Go on then, list em! ;)

In no particular order just the ones I remember -

1) Gabriel Jesus vs. Southampton (a)
2) KDB vs. Chelsea
3) Sterling vs. Southampton (h)
4) Danilo vs. Burnley
5) Sané vs. Liverpool
6) Sané vs. Stoke
7) KDB vs. Leicester
8) Bernardo vs. Arsenal [last seasons!]
9) Aguero vs. Watford
10) Aguero's 4th v Leicester
11) David Silva vs. Arsenal
12) Sané vs. Palace
13) Gundogan vs. United...
14 Silva vs. Swansea

I think all of those have pretty good claims to be better. It was a very nice goal, but it wasn't in danger of breaking our top 10 since last season started.
