Ugh Murphy. Paid pundit and he uses the term "pen" instead of penalty. Well done on saving one second of the BBC's air-time by abbreviating penalty and sounding like a twunt.

At least he is sober this week. He went through a spell last season of being pissed up on motd2 on sundays. Surprised they let him on like it. Maybe he has had a bollocking

It is a little painful watching Joe Hart, he doesn’t exactly let every shot on target in, but some of the goals he concedes (and there are a number of them) don't paint him in a good light and I would imagine they don’t endear him to his new club fans.

He was a great keeper for us but his powers are dwindling at too young an age for a goalkeeper.

What I picked up was tubhead Shearer did not think it was a penalty for the tug on Aguero. However, during the Everton game he thought it was harsh to send Smith off for the tug on Walcott but that it was a yellow card offence. The only real difference, in my opinion, was one was in the box & one wasn't.

A few years ago a friend of mine was assistant ref on one of our games & I asked him why Phil Dowd did not give a pen for a shirt pull on Sergio. He said that Dowd had said it was not enough of a pull to award a pen. The suggestion being that if it had been outside he would have given it. Not sure why premier refs feel the laws are different inside the box.
The laws were not viewed differently inside the box for Salah penalty last week or Chelsea this week.

Lots of speculation about Hart...which may make sense for anyone interested in his fall from grace..and basically support your own observations....

Opening line from the tator on the grievers game "no disrespect to lpools previous opponents but if they can come away with 3 points here theyd be putting down a real marker"

So tempted to ask Drubus if he was paying attention to Alisson today... but I don't want to overdo it. Plus that's the risk in having a keeper involved in the buildup play.

They look very good to me. Pace and a strong defence. We will have to be at our very best to do it this season.
