A journey that used to take 1 hr 50 mins to Maine Road from North West Worcestershire now regularly takes 3 hrs+
 
I have not found it any harder getting to work this week to be honest. Will really kick in when he schools are back.
 
The thing that annoys me about this is that it will take 12 months to complete. Given the major impact it will have on commuters and unsurprisingly City fans travelling to the match I just don't understand why they don't throw ridiculous manpower at it to get it completed much more quickly. Unsurprisingly the idiots in charge of this initiate the start of the work at the start of the new season to boot. Had they started this in May they reduced the timeframe the impact on everyone could have been far less.
 
When I was up in Mcr the other month I noticed one of those digital displays saying roadworks to start here. The exact date I cannot remember but it was approx the date when kids will be starting back at school. Roadworks should be worked on 24/7. Fat lazy bastards.:)
 
I was on a scheme about 10 years ago on Princess Parkway near Southern Cemetary, anyway the silly twats decided to narrow the Mcr bound approach down to one lane one Saturday morning.
The only problem was nobody (except me, but i wanted the overtime)had taken into account that U** had a lunch time KO at Old Toilet that day.
The cues were a thing of beauty, must have been a 10 mile tailback up the M56 full of fuming southern glory hunters as the game kicked off!
I must have heard ‘You fackin wankers’
a thousand times that lovely day.
