Bernardo Silva - 2018/19 performances

This isn't a knock on Gundogan, but it's fucking wild that there are games in which he plays the eight over Bernardo. He's a special, special player.

We have got a seriously gifted player on our hands here.
The touch of a feather , technically brilliant , an eye for goals and pretty tough by the looks of it.
He’s very hard to knock off the ball and can win it back with strength.
The best part is that he is only 23 I think.

If David is our ‘Merlin’ maybe Bernardo is ‘Dynamo’

Bernardo is obviously improving under Pep, he puts in a real dynamic performance with some sublime skill and vision. I am so glad he’s here, his movement and decisions on the ball are fantastic, a few others could do well to copy him.
It’s going to be difficult to leave him out if he keeps improving.

Masterclass performance yesterday. For someone so small, he has good strength to hold opponents off the ball. Balance, good engine and very technically gifted it is just a shame he did not score which his performance deserved

In the game Portugal went out of the World Cup to Uruguay, Bernardo was the best player on the pitch.

He played in the middle.

Yesterday he showed he can be as good as Silva and de Bruyne in the middle.

I hope he plays there more, in fact, only! I think he can become one of the world’s best in attacking midfield.

Anyone else remined of David Silva's rise by the way Bernado is now playing. Originally a bit small and not overly quick you wondered if the skill alone would be enough but over time he just adapted to the premier league and the phsicality just wasnt an issue. Bernado in the build up to Dave's goal yesterday, how many players would have just gone down or played for a corner?

He is not improving nor getting better, he just play exceptionally well when playing in the middle.

I hope he is both improving and getting better, if they are different things.
All players should be continually improving, as is the team. Great energy, will become one of the world's best central midfield players.

I think we do a really good job at signing players of that ilk. Txiki has done a very good job at making that part of the targeting of players as well as the qualities they have as players.

Dunno - KDB can play deeper, and Pep experiments with lineups to get the best out of our side. Maybe Bernardo is forced to play RW when KDB is back... but that really isn't his position - not by a country mile.
