Not saying they will, just saying he’s sent 4 off during the matches he’s reffed these. High pressure, high intensity game. Going, inexperienced player like TAA for example.

No, I agree, these type of games, if followed to the letter of the law, should always produce a variable like that, unfortunately though, we never tend to get the rub of the green (excluding Eddie, as that was assault)....

Yeah, just seen the presser, catch 22..... personally I say fight ‘fire with fire’, something just tells me they will shit it if we go at them!!

That's the thing that pisses me off - for all pundits who say were vulnerable if you go at us, Liverpool faced 2 teams last week who matched their intensity and could have given up 5 in each game.

But of course they've got the best back 4 in the league now because Gomez and Van Dijk kept a clean sheet against Southampton or someone else shit, so they live in a narrative where they're defensively solid.

Yup, media amplification at its best.... this shite about their front 3, yes it’s decent but I’d take ours every day of the week and twice on Sunday, especially against their back line. We just need our calm head on, ride out the early butterflies and express our own game, if we do, we’ll win and win well!!

we really need good game intelligence on Sunday. The other thing is for fuck’s sake - take our chances. Hopefully then we will be fine.
But when they go for it they can be a hell of a team so by doing the above hopefully it will all be okay

Think not playing Fernandinho will confuse Klopp he would of planned on him playing and putting him under pressure.

I'd be happy with that. The front three are the most in form, the two Silva's are the best combination without KDB and there's no backup for Fernandinho. Walker and Stones don't fill me with confidence after their costly errors in this game last season. However, if we're going to play our normal game, which I think is the best approach, then it probably has to be Stones and Laporte at the back. If we do what we do well then we can play around their press which has been a bit half arsed this season. There's no reason why we can't win this.

Mendy at LB wouldn't fill me with confidence. But apparently Delph isn't available so, unless you played Zinch there, or Eric (no thanks; for either of them!), I suppose Mendy is the only viable option.

It really is time to beat these fuckers. The press are building everything into a frenzy. The coach, the attack last year, Liverpool’s year, klopp is peps kryptonite. It’s all aimed at bringing us down. The only way to shut them all up is to turn up at anfield for once. No stupid ass defending, no switching off in midfield for the first 30 minutes, we need to be sbsolutrly on it and if we are and stop the shocking defending, we win.

I’m sure I said the same last season.

If Dinho is on his own in front of the back line for the first 60 minutes we lose. Continue with the back line that finished against Hoffenhiem - who were playing similar tactics to Lyon who were copying Liverpool. Raz has never played a good game against Liverpool so he starts on the bench.
Pack the central midfield to start with as follows:

............................Eddie...........................
..............Walker....Kompany .Laporte..............
......................Stones ...Dinho.....................
......................Bernie....Dave.......................
........Marhez..........Sergio...............Leroy......

When Liverpool start to tire bring on Raz and Mendy

That left side is so weak, the right not much better, its a no from me.

Someone else in here mentioned playing Walker at RB. As crazy as that sounds it could work. Assuming Salah plays, he has a tendency to cut in from the left which could really favour a right-footed left back. It's quite a good idea if we really are struggling for natural LBs. However, Anfield is a real graveyard for us, only 3 league wins since time was invented. Arsenal, Chelsea, Spurs, United, even Everton, all those away fixtures that we used do poorly in, have all been conquered. Anfield remains a Pandora''s box for us. But we are long overdue some luck here, brainfarts in their defence, some cushy ref decisions going our way and for once at this ground please lord can we be ruthless with our chances.

166 have voted to say we will lose?

Fuck me grow some backbone!
The last 3 times we have won at Klanfield (1956, 1981 & 2003) tells me your confidence is totally misplaced - 3 times in 62 years says we have roughly have a 4% base chance of winning.
Don't get me wrong it would be great if we could win but our players heads are in the wrong place at Klanfield.

Surprised so many are suggesting Stones in midfield. I didn't think it worked very well against Oxford, trying it against Liverpool is suicide.

It won’t happen but I wouldn’t have a problem with that line up if it did.

Our CBs this season:

Arse (a): ..........Stones Laporte
Hudds(h): .....Stones Komps Laporte (3-5-2)
Wolves (a): ......Komps Laporte
N'castle (h): .....Stones Laporte
Fulham (h): ......Ota Laporte
Lyon (h): ..........Stones Laporte
Oxford (a): .......Komps Ota
Brighton (h): ....Ota Laporte
Hoffenh. (a): ....Komps Ota

Laporte seems to be a safe starter.

Zinchenko would be a surprise. As Danilo.
Mendy maybe not ready for that match, IMO.
Stones isn't a starter at the moment, no idea why.

Maybe we'll see the same setup as vs Hoffenheim again: ....Walker Komps Ota Laporte.
That was Pep's defence last time at Anfield, too. Fighting spirit all of them.
Tuesday Sunday shouldn't be a problem at this point.
