Liverpool (A) Post Match Thread

RAWK convincing themselves we were scared of them and so Pep with his billion pound squad set up to NOT lose the game. Nothing at all about Klopp's inability to find a way against the tactical changes.

You missed the bit about billion pound squad created from oil money from our morally bankrupt owners :-)

If anyone wants another perspective on who got a good result on Sunday, Liverpool's odds on winning the league got longer, while ours got shorter.

A lot of people (Liverpool fans included) thought they'd need to take 6 points off us to stand a chance of bridging that 25 point gap between us. They failed and the bookies have responded accordingly.

I got told by a kop season ticket holder today that they were 15 points behind us last season.
They really have no clue.

Remember that quote from last season...

STAN COLLYMORE –PEP’S PRETTY TIKA TAKA FOOTBALL MIGHT DELIGHT THE GULLIBLE, BUT A 0-0 DRAW AT ANFIELD WILL ALWAYS BE MORE IMPRESSIVE

Read the mirror today and he said the result showed that they can go toe to toe with city and get a result that showed they are indeed title contenders
Nope didn't make sense to me either

HOW MANY MORE TIMES,JORGINHO FOLLOWED SARRI,HE TURNED US DOWN and breathe
Dinho isn't dead,he hasn't fallen off a cliff,he was everywhere yesterday, yes he needs cover and we hopefully will find a new young gem as helper,we had a player come in the summer but couldn't get a visa to play, pep said they informed the club on transfer deadline day so we had no time to look elsewhere
Nah not having it, City waited far to long to try & get the deal over the line.

2nd June City tabled a bid of £39m + 2m add ons which was turned down.

They then waited over a week to up the bid to £42m +2m in add ons., guess what No deal.

Laurentis came out & said €50m or no deal, that's around £43-45m with no add ons & guess what City never went back for a few weeks by then Sarri had been odd on fav to go to Chelsea.

2 week later he signed for £47m boom.

De Laurentis wanted an amount & City had a few weeks to deal & it never happened.

City could have done the deal for 45m even 50m they blinked & Chelsea went £57m Inc Sari & it was over.

The player & Agent both admitted City wouldn't do the deal.

So your wrong.

And the Dino situation for 1 it's help & fresh legs but it needs to happen in January end of.

Oh & pay the money don't piss about, Jorginio is a class player

Or De Laurentis strung us along while Sarri's situation got sorted out.

Maybe but City had Jorginio & Agent as guest back in February & a deal with both all sorted.

Deal with De Laurentis could have been done 4 week prior to Sari joining Chelsea.

Chelsea still had to pay Napoli for Sari but then agreed 57m deal for both.

I agree with your post in the end when Sari was about to join Chelsea the deal moved over into Chelsea hands but without doubt Tixi should have offered the money & done the deal, 50m would have been a steel.

Agreed... Txiki is a liability! What he knows about transfer deals you could right on the back of a postage stamp. Even the ones he has managed to limp over the line have been a total disaster!

You may well be right but I wouldn't put it past DeLaurentis to have been negotiating with Chelsea all along whilst getting us to up our bid as a backup. He has form.

He doesn't strike me as a someone who can run back 100m in 12 seconds?

Opponents would just leave extra men up if it is saved or a rebound.

Still remember when Hart legged it back and pushed the ball onto his crossbar after rug head punted it long.
I remember Joe scoring a monstrous penalty in a shoot-out for England U21 about 9 years ago and one for us against Roma a few years ago. Each pen was hammered high to the right with some swerve - unstoppable - unreachable for any GK.

50 m of steel would’ve been too heavy to carry . I prefer bit coin instead.

They were always nasty C.unts, remember going to Klanfield in 1974/75 and standing on the Anfield road and seeing some lad get hit with a piece of brick in the face that was chucked into our section from those loveable Scouse rogues.
After the game I got off the bus and was nearing Lime Street station when a few blokes in their late 30s wanted to fight me and lad I was with ...I was 17 and mate was 15.
Every time I have been to that shithole of a city I have had trouble..it was even worse than Leeds ffs.
I always respected Shankly and Paisley as managers but fucking hated the vermin who supported Dipperpool.
Now I can't stand the team the manager or their deluded fans.
With you here, all the shit, hate the lot of them, “you’ll never walk alone” unless you are Mignolet or Shaquiri, Klopp the **** talking to the latter like he was a piece of shit after the Chelsea Cup game, wanker.

Boring??
And regarding the fake hatred; i had a softish for lfc from the 70's onwards. Great teams and great players. Wasn't overkeen on the scouse hoolie during the 80's but enjoyed them giving the rags shit. In fact i had no issues with the scouse family up until a couple of seasons ago. I find their treatment of Sterling annoying and wondered at the hypocrisy given Coutinho couldn't get out fast enough and they still cheered him.
Then we had the chumps league debacle, sponsored by the club, coppers and blind ref's. Seeing those twats bricking the bus pissed me right off. Normally i'd have wanted them to go on and win the comp' but i laughed my cock off at Ramos' masterful fucking up of their 'destiny'.
On top of all that, the fuckers slagging Sterling off when playing for England finally did it for me and now i will happily give any red scouse the shite they deserve, and there will be nothing 'fake' about it.
Same here. I had a scouse grandparent always telling me about the history of LFC, so I grew up hoping they would beat everyone but us - especially Manure. Never liked the fans though - even in their music centre/Betamax glory days. I wanted 'em to win all their European Cups/CH L, 1. because they played top football (we were not on the same planet) and 2. because it sickened Manure and their fans. I always wanted English teams to do well in Europe in the 70s/80s, but now at the age of 58 I find myself wanting 'em all to lose. I remember Dalglish saying after his Liverpool team mauled us nearly 30 years ago 'There are other teams we'd have preferred to do this to' (unusual comment, but a good one). However, the coach attack changed everything, together with the mindless treatment of Raheem. Too many scumbags.
