TV Series

can some of you guys help me out here, a lot are saying ozark is brilliant

but me and the wife watched the first episode and thought it was shite. what are we missing and why should we go back to it?

Fairly obviously you’ve answered your own question. You can’t judge an entire series based on a lone scene-setting episode. I was bemused by the first episode of The Wire (the intense street slang and language were almost impenetrable), but stuck with it and ended up relishing probably the greatest television drama ever made. Stick with Ozark mate. It’s 7 to 8 out of 10 good. Not extraordinary viewing like The Wire, Breaking Bad or GoT, and it’s got one or two plot flaws, but certainly still more than half decent IMO. I’ll certainly be watching Season 3

Finally got around to watching The Wire.Enjoyed the 1st series but as yet up to Episode 2 of Series 2,which is a little slow.A mate of mine says don`t give up on it as it does get better.
I've still got to get around to The Wire but it will take a fair bit of time to get through it once I start, so I'm waiting til there's nothing else to watch, could be a while yet.

Season 2 was always a bit of a funny one, one of those things you look back on (as the series moves forward) and it's only then you realise how good it actually was.

Absolutely this. 4 is the best, then 2 really, but like DH says, that opinion will only come after you've finished it all.

Netflix axes 'Luke Cage'!! Out of the blue!!

WTF?? It's gotta be 'Jessica Jones' next with this move after the third season finishes filming.

I don't think Marvel will continue with Netflix (end of 'Punisher' and 'Daredevil') and it will all migrate to Disney's streaming channel in the next couple of years.

How many streaming services are people willing to buy into...??

Don't laugh.

Anne with an E on Netflix is surprisingly good. Brilliantly acted by the young protagonist and although it's sentimental clap trap, it is quite engaging.
