Anthony Taylor (of Altrincham)

Mike Dean isn't allowed to refs games involving Everton and Liverpool if I'm not mistaken.. The fact Taylor is allowed when it's obvious he has links to either Manchester clubs is a bit of a joke.

He won't be able to stop us on Sunday anyway.

I think Mr D moved to North Wales and within a short while was officiating in the Merseyside Derby

As many tweets and the like to the FA and BBC/SKY sports highlighting the appointment. It would then be pretty brave of him to have a complete howler.

we know he's a rag, all this Altrincham season ticket holder stuff is bullshit, when does he watch them then? he's always elsewhere corrupting a result.

So..your not a conspiracy theorist.thats good to know....never mind this match,do you think Taylor should have reffed Burnley v Utd a while back at Turf moor..when utd were vying with City for the 4th champions league spot in Peps 1st season-all our attention was at Wembley as we played Arsenal in the semi final(your not a conspiracy theorist so i wont bore you with detail from this match).Taylor reffed utd in a match they won.to increase the pressure...
A few games later...as a last throw of the dice...utds last home game of the season is cancelled due to a bomb scare..the first one in top flight football history(think spurs had one v notts county a few years back, that game was played).just to put pressure on City ...i cant remember who we played, but we got the point we needed...champions league for Pep...Europa for utd..thats how classy utd are..turn their own fans away in the name of 'security'....imagine if City had lost leaving utd to play a one off money spinning match after the end of the season for a place in the champions league....what an opportunity to make lots of money!! .......theres lots going on at Pgmol....for those who care to look.

Swansea :)

This has been highlighted quite a bit now. Is it possible that this will work in our favour? Will he try to show he was worthy of the appointment by being impartial? Anything is possible.

Both the saints and shaktar games saw us win possession many times where we regained possession fairly, but where body contact occurs.
Both refs judged this correctly,its
one of the things we do brilliantly.
It will be interesting to see how Taylor reacts to the same challenges,i suspect his interpretation will be different.

Bent and biased rag he will do everything in his power to get the win for the swamp dwellers.

Do you think he will let any of our players put their hands on his head and crowd him appealing for things? the anwser is no,bent as fuck,i am desperate for him to prove us wrong but don't hold out any hope

Lots of subtle breaking up of play and giving them set piece opportunities through soft freekicks - pretty much like last season's effort

Looking on the bright side, maybe the publicity will make him desperate to appear impartial.

Hopefully you’re right, and I’m glad that the media have been flagging City fans’ concerns about his appointment. Seem to recall he went out if his way to try and show no bias when he reffed the Liverpool v United game, so hopefully the same will happen here.

It’s hard not to think stitch up with appointments like this.

I can’t see any other logic other than a fix.

IMO one of the tactics refs use to stifle our game is by frequently breaking up play. I expect this to happen a lot for minor infractions on Sunday, thus effecting the flow of the game and hampering our efforts to build attacks....

It’s a very odd/bad appointment on a few levels, but it seems a bit too obvious if someone, somewhere wanted to influence the result. Surely you’d go for a more low-key appointment rather than one that has attracted so much attention before a ball has even been kicked?
