United (H) Post Match Thread

Final score pretty flattering for United, does not reflect the difference between the two teams. It bothers me that Eddie's mistake made them hope they could get something out of this game, it would be a travesty if they did, simply unforgivable. Should have been decided long before Ilkay's goal, City wasted numerous opportunities...

Players had in the back of their heads last season's respective match, its final outcome, the way City lost it -it definitely had an influence in their moves. When you know you're clearly better, you really have no excuse if you don't win -which adds pressure. On the other hand, United had nothing to lose...

Having all the above in mind, plus the CL midweek match (9/11 played vs Shakhtar, the same situation applies for United), you can't really ask for more. Fans should be proud regarding the quality of the performance as well as the effort. Despite errors, misjudgment of situations at times etc, all players gave their very best...

A final comment: In the years to come, people will look back at the goals of this match as indicative of City's style under Guardiola. Wonderful team efforts, providing definitions to terms such as "team chemistry", "creativity" etc. Guardiola's mark is all over them. The fact they were scored in a derby is a bonus, makes them even more special. Whatever you hear, whatever you read, make no mistake about it: People who hate City are jealous. Opposite fans, managers, journos, pundits, officials. Whether they admit it or not. Deep down they are truly hurting. They would kill for the privilege of experiencing this type of football, this quality, week in week out. Period.

if united was a old dog they would have put it down by now its becoming cruel watching it struggle every week ?? it must be painful knowing the end is nigh for them fans over the road but even worst is that liverpool are better than them now that is painful
