I don’t agree. They’d make upwards of 7 changes for those matches and would be better rested for the League. All top managers enjoy having good opportunities to start the guys they have no real intention of starting in the league.

They will play a total reserve side in that competition.

Playing reserves and making changes doesn't actually matter. It still ruins your entire week. The manager & squad still fly across Europe, you lose 2 days travelling & 1 day playing.

If they went out of Europe, they'd have 5 days training before a league game. Sunday is a rest day, and then you get Monday-Friday to focus on 1 game.

If you're in Europe, you get 1 day to prepare for the next league game - or 2 days if it's a home european game.

Also it would push them onto Sundays, which means we go ahead and they're then under pressure to keep up.

The cracks are starting to show. the result on Saturday they flattered to deceive but its only December and they are starting to just get over the line in games.
I think United will be the first team to beat them on the day. once they get that fist loss they'll lose that edge, like they have done in the champions league.

We'll also stuff them at home, they've a very demanding game at arsenal three days before.

They already played at Arsenal and drew 1-1. They play Arsenal at home 5 days before they come to us.

.
No way. They are twice the team that the rags are. United are fucking terrible and the Dips will comfortably beat them

I'll stick to wanting them in the CL and FA cup as long as possible.

Just read the interview with Sean Cox’s wife. His absolutely heartbreaking for them. I had no idea the effects that attack on him had, and to think nobody has been done for it.
Millions of pounds needed. He can’t walk or talk and only sites up aided.
Really sad read.

It's a terrible situation for Sean Cox and his family ......that could have been you or I strolling to a City game. I wonder how many of those Roma fans had watched the scenes from outside Anfield during the build up to the City game, with the coach being attacked and that changed their perspective on things and I wonder how many remember Heysel and what happened to the Italian fans that night. I hate any kind of violence, especially at sporting events but those 2 episodes are seen and remembered by visiting supporters and they perhaps act differently.

3-0 Away to an in form Watford is an impressive result.
I can't understand how everyone keeps saying 'They'll drop off',
'They won't cope with an injury',
'They'll be too tired' etc.
Looks to me like Liverpool will be right there all the way.
Will get very interesting to see who copes with the pressure and the crap referees, especially the crap referees

Said it from the off. They did what we did - strengthened where needed. There’s no other conclusion to have come to than that they will be up there with us.

Whats everyone going on about, Watford had a stonewall pen in that game at 0-0 not given, so it could have turned out very differently.

But the dipers and spuds are the media darlings,it's baffling

The people in charge of the media outlets come from an ear when the rags and the dippers rules supreme - they miss their youth and like us all want it back.

Its the same reason for the Woods v Mickelson match for all that cash - some people would rather see over the hill combatants fighting it out as it was when they were younger - they can't get their heads round change.
