I think that's just down to our full backs not quite as good a previous ones pep's had to work with.
All of them lack some real composure at times. Otamendi didn't cover himself with glory last week,
throwing himself around slashing at the ball, trying to clear.
We have about 65% possession in every game. In possession, he slides inside and we play with a back 2 or 3.
You can CALL him anything you want, but it doesn’t affect WHERE HE PLAYS for the majority of the games.

Oh he didn't give the ball away, but it rarely went forward with purpose, it was like his only aim was to not lose possession. Shite floated balls when switching that got cut out. Not cut out for that at all, like I said, not his fault, he doesn't understand the role, or if he does, he's not good enough to play there offensively.

He is a midfielder who covers the LB position when we are forced to defend our left wing. On their goal, he was covering the LB position and got caught out. Never argued that, but to suddenly LABEL him as a LB, just because in Pep’s scheme he has converted numerous midfielders into covering the FB positions.I sit 20 yards away from where he plays. He's a fucking fullback who moves into midfield.

Maybe that was the job he was given. Break up their possession and turn defence into attack by giving the ball to the nearest creative midfielder in our team, rather than try anything too clever himself. If it was, he did it well
