Leicester v City post match

Liverpool are very good at choking. 19 games is a lot. They haven’t wobbled yet but they will
True. But it won't be much use if we're not in a position to capitalize. If they go the rest of the season only losing a couple of games and storm the league, then fair play to them. But if they hit a rough patch, I'll be really pissed off if we're not in a position to overtake them again.

We are playing really poorly, not just today, all month really.

Four rounds ago:;
1) City 38p, 38GD
2) Liverpool 36p, 22GD
5) Tottenham 30p, 10GD

Today:
1) Liverpool 51p, 36GD (+15 points, +14GD)
2) Tottenham 45p, 24GD (+15 points, +14GD)
3) City 44p, 37GD (+6 points, +1GD)

I'm not sure we're off the title race all in all, I mean Liverpool could run into some sort of a catastrophic dip as we pick up form again. But it's not looking good at all.

League has gone, top 4 looking under threat now with the way we’re playing.
Fucking hell we even turned into a long ball team with 5 minutes to go.
Positives from today. Delph got sent off.
No idea how we’ve become this shit.
Could be worse, could support the red plastic shite eh?

In the summer Liverpool identified their weaknesses and got the right players.

City fucked about all summer trying to be too cute in the negotiations with Jorginho and wasted £60m on a rubbish winger we didn't need.

Without Fernandinho and a world class player to rotate with him, we go to shit.
1,000 th time

Stones has once again reverted to the confused baby giraffe he was in his first season, Sterling was little more than a passenger (Again), while Gundogan is so mentally slow its almost a medical diagnosis, not that many of the others covered themselves in glory.
The winning mentality seems to have gone missing just at the wrong time, sloppy passing and wrong decisions from players who normally set the standards, it seems even Pep is having a bad time with some strange team selections and subs.

But I am just as sure that its a blip rather than the end of the world, we have now got KDB and Spanish dave back, an no doubt Pep will take the problems back to the training ground to iron out the bugs in the defence.

Just a shit day at the wrong time.

Tiredness ? Complacency ? Too many injuries to key players ? Whatever the wheels are hanging off. Defensive detail and structure is hopeless at the moment. No clean sheet for 9 games in a row ! We have no fit LB available and no cover for Fern - 2 appalling holes in terms of squad depth and recruitment. Maybe last season was just too good and somehow we'd always find a win to win but the way were a losing from taking the lead is really worrying. Title has gone. Liverpool and Spurs have too much momentum. The national outpouring of celebration makes it an even bigger pill to swallow.

Pep needs to get a hold of this quickly.
Missing too many big players with some coming back at various intervals upsets rhythm , causes mistakes and confidence is very low as a result and is now costing us.
Southampton now huge - some sort of a result now necessary.
Ok so back to some basics at the training ground. Need to find some inspiration from somewhere somehow. Cut out mistakes will help by possession AND penetration. Chances are still coming but not same return .
Need settled side which would help with that. It all started so well .
We still have huge possession but are not penetrating to the extent we were . Teams can absorb that and are confident of getting 5 shots on target which results in 2-3 goals .
Time to get back to peps philosophy and execute it to the utmost

Not meaning to sound melodramatic but this is very likely correct. If we beat Liverpool at our place then maybe we can turn it around, but right now I think they would thrash us, and if we lose that game it absolutely is finished.

At the moment it looks like Southampton will give us a game.
