Not looking forward to this at all. Our left side is a real problem. If we had someone who could play lwb I’d look at going 3-5-2 with stones, Kompany and Laporte.

Scousers will jam the midfield and press like crazy.
 
Hoe many of us recall how dreadful Eric was playing as LB in the UCL game. This is not a game for experiments. I'd put players where they are most comfortable in as much as I can, all factors considered:

Moraes
Walker Kompany Laporte Danilo
Fernandinho
De Bruyne Silva
Sterling Aguero Sane​
 
Like others I think Danilo plays at LB, that means risking a Walker fuck up at RB but what other choice do we have, Zinchenko would get embarrassed by Salah.

I'm guessing Kompany keeps his place for his leadership in what is the biggest game of our season.

Fernandinho being back is huge and gives us a chance.

Hopefully KDB was only held back today to make sure he can start this game but if not then the two Silva's are hardly a downgrade.

Undecided on whether Sterling should play as he usually struggles against Liverpool.

Sane has to start, he can create something from nothing and his link-up with Silva creates so many chances.

Aguero's goal today could be just what he needed to kickstart his goalscoring form.

Impossible to predict the score, could be anything.

This is a must win game, we need to show why we are champions.

last time I moaned on here about scouse fans in our end I was told "As long as they're quiet whats the fuss"

Not this time, no pussying around, some of these guys are vermin and they aint getting away with it. I expect any other City fan to do the same

The scousers will put high pressure on Fernandino whenever he's near the ball, like last year's games at Anfield, so we need to have players around him to provide an option to pass to quickly (please dear God, no Gundogan or Mahrez for this game, we can't afford any passengers in this match).

I know Mahrez will not never play as LB, but I think he is the best available choice.
