I was shouting at Sterling a lot in the second half for not tracking Robertson. He seemed to coast back after him which often left Danilo having to make a call on whether to leave his man and press or not. Danilo had to stay where he was in that image and Sterling needed to track Robertson. Fortunately they only took advantage once.

And the players all generally worked their socks off all game against a very intense Liverpool side. We bettered their intensity and won the game.

Not always a good thing. Time to dwell on the defeats and sometimes a longer rest can lead to a lethargic performance next time out. Playing regularly helps you mentally know the intensity you need to be at.

Klopp has a poor record in Jan and maybe their excellent December run is catching up on them. Still going to be a makeshift centre back pairing. Yes the front three can all play but might be a bit rusty. Let us hope so. The fact is they will not drop many points realistically so either way we need to have a blinding second half of the season and get to mid-90s in terms of points.
