Paul Scholes - Has 'left' Oldham (p20)

At least he is starting in the lower leagues.

Hopefully he finishes his managerial career in the lower leagues as well. preferably in about 10 games time.

Nice bloke but maybe not the best pundit(ok understatement). Think he could make a good coach not sure about manager though. I'm sure the Latic's fans will love him.

It is strange how these clubs make their decisions. Hughes, Bruce, G Neville, Giggs, Keane and the rest - played football under Ferguson, ergo will make a great manager. Er, no it doesn't work like that. One is playing football on a football pitch, the other is a football manager. They are different jobs which require completely different skills FFS. Ask Thierry Henry.

What about Pep, Bobby & Tony Book -all played a bit.

Obviously there are good managers who used to be footballers. It's this blind mantra that if you played under Ferguson then you'll make a good manager that is wrong
Hard to disagree with the ones you quoted-don't remember Henry playing under GPC though.
