Yes. There are times, however, when he is not so good playing with his back to the opponents and can be caught out. If we go another season with players filling in as emergency cover, we're not going to progress as a team.

That's only to be expected over here.

Players don't get the time to fart around. In a tight space, especially on a skiddy pitch, he did a great job for somene who has rarely played there & showed a natural ability to spot danger, which 'the usual alternative to Fernandinho' can't do.to save his life.

Just don't see any of the alternatives to Fernandinho (Gundogan/Delph/Danilho/Stones) as even coming close. De Bruyne could do it, if given time and willing to change, but we would still need someone to play his position further up the park.
