FA Cup 5th Round Draw 2019 - Newport (a)

MU fixture before Liv: PsG home, then Chelsea away. Meanwhile we'll have to play till the end in all competitions. If Liv don't win the league this year, can't see how their fans live with it really.

It was probably pretty poor by premier league standards, but not compared to a lower league team.
Just watching the Barnet v Brentford game and the pitch (Barnet's) looks immaculate, and they're non-league. No reason any club should have a shit pitch nowadays.

What an incredible time to be a blue. Every single game is absolutely huge - it’s fantastic. This is a great draw for us as is hopefully Schalke.
If we somehow win throughout February then anything is possible but I would love another FA Cup win

I am of the attitude that if we get a trophy of any sort it is a great season. We still have a chance of 5. (Charity shield already won). I can’t face the scousers winning the league though so would trade all the cups for that.

Same way they always live with it - it won't be their fault. They'll find some excuse to have been victimized.

I make some simple but interesting probability calculation guys:
Suppose that big teams (us, CFC/MU) win their matches against lesser opponents, City will have:
1/7 (14,3%) chance of meeting CFC/MU in the quarterfinal.
6/7 x 1/3 = 2/7 (28,6%) chance of meeting CFC/MU in the semi.
6/7 x 2/3 = 4/7 (57,1%) chance of meeting CFC/MU in the final.

Imo our second string should be good enough to start & beat lesser opponents. This means we have fairly good chance of having only one energy sapping match on May 18th when the season is already over. This could bode well for us in the title race

If we won both domestic cups and nothing else, is that a successful season?

No doubt the media would say it was a failure, but they always try to put us down anyway
I'd say two trophies is a very successful season (although we've been so good the last couple of years, it does tend to skew expectations a bit). I can't remember if the media thought Mourinho had a successful first season at United when they won the League Cup and Europa League.
