I have taken some comfort from being reminded that we beat them in the Cup two or three seasons ago.

But I’m still not confident.

We should not be worrying about bogey teams, Boro have played 14 home matches in the league and scored 14 goals.

We should be able to put two past them and progress to the next round, might even be Newport yet.

The FA cup for me growing up as a kid was THE most important cup to win, the day from start to finish was an event and I know that btsports do something similar on day for the final these days and Its great as it brings back a bit of old school but Its been great seeing lower teams knocking the bigger teams out.

Looking forward to the next round and you can never replace the excitement of the draw ever.

We play Schalke away on the Wednesday after this cup tie so hopefully TV companies will see sense and either leave us off TV so we play at 3 or put us on Saturday lunchtime. No doubt they won’t give a fuck though and put us late Sunday evening when there are no trains back for the fans

That's a good point.
Chelsea will have to be the Sunday or maybe Monday, as they're playing on the Thursday in the EL. Presumably the Sunday.

Nah! It depends on the trophy. FA and League cups are complimentary trophies for big clubs. City is a big club, so No, winning the 2 cups will not be a successful season.

It will be ok. But the league and Champions League are the standard. Everything else is nice.
