Newcastle (a) post match thread

Will be interesting to hear what the players specifically say after this performance.

If it is just the “we fight till the end” bollocks after that showing, I can’t say I will be happy.

The decisions that go against us are bent for sure...every tackle we look like we might get booked yet other teams kick us with impunity.

Blame the ref mate if it makes you feel better but he wasn't the reason we lost. Same as Palace and Leicester.
 
We had it too easy last year, we've got a good Liverpool team challenging us and we're falling to fucking pieces.

Even if by some miracle Leicester manage to win tomorrow it won't make any difference because we have proved tonight we don't have the heart, the fight or the bottle to win the league this year.

That was our practically our strongest team tonight, which is worrying for the rest of the season.

e should be expecting more yes, at worse we should not be regressing, which evidence seems to suggest. Not good enough
 
For most of my life we won fuck all. So while we berated Pellegrini for his 3 trophies in 3 years it wasn't so bad. Pep might equal that if we beat Chelsea in the CC.
 
I feel sick. Absolutely disgraceful performance by every single city player on the pitch.

Special mention to Fernandinho, Silva, Danilo and sterling who were exceptionally bad

It was Leicester again. This team didn’t put a performance like that in once last season. Never mind twice in a month

I thought the scousers might have struggled tomorrow night, but that gives them the boost they need and they’ll batter Leicester now
 
Didn’t have an answer for them tonight. Baffling, but happens. Credit to them though - they were fighting and we didn’t seem to.
 
Pep half arsed. The team half arsed. I was even half arsed until they scored. Just the three trophies to play for now. At least the brexit thread will be worth following tonight. Some angry people in there I recon. I’m getting my popcorn out.
 
Still a long way to go but this ones on pep for me, you can’t pass your way through 10 players sat deep all game, you’ve got to find another way to win ugly.

The beautiful football rule book goes out of the window when teams set up like that against you. Could be way off but that’s my initial feeling after the game.
 
Embarrassing! Losing with seconds to go and we’re still passing passing passing and going backwards. Finally got there comeuppance for coasting through games and taking them too easy
 
Stupid mistake by Fern and Walker being his dozy self jogging out and playing them onside for the first goal. Too many players had an off day and should have a look at themselves.
We didn't create enough and good luck to Newcastle in the championship next season,yes I am a bad loser.
 
We still should have had a chance to score and take back the lead after 1-1. But we were not at the races. Personally I blame Danilo. Why did he have to pass it back to Ferno? No sense of urgency at all. I'm well pissed off. Walker and Danillo are our two weakest links in the team.
