Mrs has just bought a new acer aspire 6 laptop , it has been on charge for 2 hours not done a thing as yet , dose she have to leave it on charge overnight like the old days ? Cheers.

This may sound daft but did it come with an os installed? Where was this purchased from if you do not mind me asking? Can you get into bios at all?

Os installed bought unopened box brand new from pc world , only if we restart it , and get in bios and get in that way .it is still showing the welcome screen.

Hi just rebooted it at the start button and it is responding.

All up and running now it was stuck on the welcome screen. Should of just turned it off and on before!! Thanks for your help folks.
