I remember watching a warm up and he took a shot at Corrigan.
I'd not seen a ball hit that hard.
The stare big Joe gave him, I thought he was going to go and lamp him.

Agreed. He was (along with Anelka) the best forward I saw at the club before the takeover - and those two were some distance ahead of the next best. Incredible that players of that quality around that time (Wilkins, Souness) and even a decade later (Platt, Walker) felt they needed to go to Italy to ply their wares. Another example of how the game has changed beyond recognition.

Wouldn’t have fancied Francis in a scrap against Big Joe, though!
