I like the guy, there's a decent player in there, ain't no way he EVER plays in a Pep team though.
I was under the impression his contract was up at the end of the season. So the only reason can be selling to a partner club for an inflated price - oh that'll go down well

It does appear that we’re preparing for our transfer ban. Expect an interesting summer, it’ll be our last chance to sign players until 2021, so there’ll be perhaps 1 or 2 more signings than initially planned.

This has nothing to do with a transfer ban because 1 We haven't got one and 2 If we did it would be appealed and would not affect the Summer window.
With that out of the way WTF are we doing? Even the announcement on the OS is weird wishing him well on his remaining time here?!
It can only be to get a fee for him. I can't imagine that he will play for us again as he is a disaster of a player.
Reminds me of that weird goalkeeper deal we did a while ago that nobody could figure out.

This makes no sense. I can only imagine mangala signed it cos he thinks he won’t get the same money elsewhere but surely he wants to play? No idea why we extended it Because we won’t get much money for him anyway and he won’t play.
Unless we have some abramovic like deal lined up with a Chinese club who will bid shitloads for him and we can justify it by saying he is under contract.
