Football Leaks/Der Spiegel articles

I agree with you Bob and I'm sure, behind the scenes, City are all over this and will be getting the best legal advice possible. Those three knob-heads are pretty much at the bottom of the food chain when it comes to journalism which is why I'd be surprised if City even acknowledged their existence. The Sheiks ownership is seen to be mostly about creating positive publicity for Abu Dhabi and this campaign seems designed to create negativity around the club albeit to what end, I can't imagine. That said, I wouldn't shed many tears if any, or all, of them suffered a long and painful professional disaster.
Plus I can’t stand them and it would be abit funny if city sued the shit out of them and they were left slightly destitute ;-)

All this because a business was given investment.
That's what makes it so ridiculous.

Add investment to almost any other sport even, not just business, and people would applaud it.

Can you imagine anyone kicking off if Anthony Joshua bought a better gym to train in than the rest and hired the best trainers.
Or sports England if someone wanted to invest a billion pounds into UK athletics for eg.

Add to that that FFP was brought in to stop clubs running out of cash and going bankrupt apparently!

City's statement and no further comment stance will be based on expensive legal advice.

There's a good chance that they can't but this saga may run and run before we reach a conclusion.
And there's a good chance of UEFA and CL becoming irrelevant in the next decade in the light of FIFA club tournament emergence. I guess City owners are taking the big picture into account.

You only have to look at the outrage from the established elite cycling teams when Team Sky started up to know that the old guard don’t like having what they conceive to be their money and toys taken away from them.

Every major club in europe wants to halt ourselves and PSG's progress , especially the original self serving G14 members , they will be in UEFA's ear on a daily basis and this will never stop , where in the world does a business owner get punished for investing lavishly in his own company ? Creating entertainment , jobs , improving facilities of the business and surrounding areas , disregarding footballs administrators weird and wonderful little world and their kangaroo court , in a court of law we have nothing to answer.

UEFA & the FA know exactly where this will be heading if they take any major disciplinary action against our club , it will take a decade or more and a hell of a lot of money for UEFA to try and bring City to justice , it just isnt going to happen .The media can have their headlines , Der Spiegel can leak as much shit as they want and football supporters in general can continue their hate campaign against us , but it wont get them anywhere.

If you want to read some bitter shite comments about these latest leaks, look on the Mail online story. Apparently rags and scousers aren't bothered about any trophy we win, those comments would say differently. Pmsl.

It will take Utd getting financial backing from Saudi for this shit to stop. Crazy.

But what surprises me about these gutter press is that they are in effect insulting and attacking a whole fanbase, I dont know how they do it without fearing someone from the fanbase tracks them down

The rags are already getting financial backing from the Saudis.

Exactly.

It's quite pathetic that so called investigative journalism would waste its time on something so trivial compared to the many more important problems and injustices in the world.

The only "crime" that CIty have been accused of is juggling a few numbers with € or £ signs in front of them, to try and comply with a set of arbitrary rules about a few numbers with € or £ signs in front of them.

City know what they are doing and do not need advice from us. I was one who wanted Platini et al hauling before the international court in the Hague and disembowelling in public back in 2014, but the club listened to cooler and wiser heads than mine! We took Khaldoon's "pinch" and the setback was temporary. In the medium and long term FFP is hardly a blip in our ascent. The DS "revelations" are annoying, even infuriating, but they are also quite satisfying because they are the frustrated rantings of those who know they have lost - Puma will happily tell them that. UEFA have shown no interest in doing anything and, in fact, they seem to be the ones hoping the whole affair goes away. City will not go to court unless they have to and if they have to it will not be over hacked emails but because FFP looks like being a real problem. This is very unlikely but City will go right to the heart of the matter and challenge the limit on owner investment involved in FFP, and a limit on such investment is explicitly prohibited in law.

It’s telling that it’s the most shared story on their sports page. Giving the lemmings who read it hope that City will face some type of sanction. Sorry lads it ain’t happening.

As do Liverpool, indirectly — they structure invetment agreements so that they can say they do not “directly” receive money from a foreign state.

They are happy to take their money and bemoan “state-ownership” for us and PSG.

but fundamentally explains why they keep rehashing the same shit over and over

Clicks and shares makes them money and City are fair game to be written about to pedal opinion over matter of fact.

How many things are City apparently being investigated over I’m starting to lose count.
