I have never thought City were victims of an "agenda" in the sense there was an international media conspiracy against us. I have preferred to believe we were victims of individual bias from people who disliked us or our business model (or unconscious bias in the case of Raheem). However, having now read the Times hatchet-job, I have to say the letter from 12 premier league clubs asking the PL "what action they will take against us if guilty" really is unprecedented.
https://www.s
from the football authorities, a majority of our business rivals, and large sections of the media. What other conclusion can you make when the Times newspaper carries two pages attacking us in an article based entirely on hacked emails (mentioning the hacker Pinto repeatedly) without mentioning anywhere that Pinto was extradited and arrested just a few days ago facing charges of extortion. This is fundamentally dishonest.
Our owners are the wrong colour and pray to the wrong sky fairy .It's actually very transparent.
This is what the club said originally...an organised attempt to discredit us.

No, Trump gets shit press because he’s a fucking idiot and a racist, self-admitted sexual assaulting cûnt. Oh yeah, he’s also a fucking criminal.

There’s a big old thread on him if you want to learn anything.
No thanks I couldn't give a fuck about him, I was just pointing out tolmies post was simplified to show the way the press report things .
And please don't talk to me like I'm fucking 10.

Ok but only as you asked nicely.

Now go out and play with your friends. :-)

This suggests that CAS is sometimes prepared to admit illegally obtained evidence: http://www.cisarbitration.com/2018/...idence-in-the-court-of-arbitration-for-sport/

This could be trouble. I was always under the impression that illegally obtained evidence was not admissible. If this is the case, the owners are better off accepting whatever punishment UEFA give, if it's not exorbitant. Some of those emails don't make the hierarchy hear look angelic.
I still don't think it's going to he much. It won't get to the CAS. It'll hopefully be a transfer ban and nothing more.

I hope H.H. Sheikh Mansour is majorly pissed off, is in "no more Mr Nice Guy" mode, and fights this in every possible way with every £ of his ample resources.
I think all this is to piss him off to the point he thinks owning us is not worth it,they are trying to cut the head of the snake,it won't happen but i think that is what they are hoping for

To be honest I am surprised that as many as 12 clubs are apparently conspiring against us. I would expect the usual suspects, United, Liverpool, Arsenal, perhaps Spurs. To get involved directly is big step to take by any football chairmen and it involves its own risks.

I don't take the report seriously. Some hack writes a story like this with little or no substance behind it , doesn't make it true.

Imagine the amount of piss that would be boiled if both UEFA and the Premier League cleared us of any wrongdoing? Would be glorious.

A nice thought, but one that won’t happen. The Chelsea transfer ban thing today just tells me they’re paving every way possible to nobble us. We’re looking at a full blown witch hunt

That's a dangerous route to go down though.
Shit sticks even if it's lies so best you do not even contemplate going there.
It's not a black and white case so you can not say whether cheating has occurred or not within the parameters of finsncial fair play, as the goalposts are constantly shifting.
Admitting guilt will involve a lot of collateral damage, resulting in sporting reputation in tatters, City will be branded and that will be harder to shake off than if City get banned.
You've got to box more cleverly than that.
I'm not talking about anyone admitting anything and to the contrary, I think we should emphatically deny any wrong-doing and do everything in our power to not let them punish us, or for any punishment to stick.

But we're not CIty, we're just a few fans on a forum and when someone on here says "yeah, well it looks like we probably did break the rules didn't we", they do have a point.

He won’t need every £ mate, that’s why they’re pissed off

You know what, fuck the lot of them. We all know that this is because we are really threatening the established elite. Let them do their worst, this is my team and I will follow them in the CL final or the Conference. I just hope that we go all guns blazing and blow the lid off every bit of corruption that we know about.

First sentence, correct. Second sentence, just so wrong. Pep would rally round his old friends Sorriano and Tixi. Those three have istree.

I think with Pep it would depend on whether he was satisfied that the club had been open with him about what happened.

Oh it will happen if we've done nothing wrong... and the club say we've done nothing wrong

There's governing bodies much much higher and powerful than FIFA, UEFA etc, who City will turn to if we get nobbled. There's no way they will 'take the pinch' this time if we're innocent

Neither would be my assessment.

Look fellas, let's be honest with ourselves here. If it looks like a duck, walks like a duck and talks like a duck, then it's probably a duck isn't it.

And the plain reality is the allegedly leaked emails probably are leaked emails. And the content which appear to show we cheated, probably does show that we cheated.

We can gripe and moan and complain about how unfair the rules are and how UEFA have been out to get us all along etc etc etc and yes all of that is very probably true. But it's also probably true that we've bent or stretched the rules to the limit with frankly pretty iffy sponsor deals and from these emails it looks very much like we have actually bent the rules too far.

Do I have a problem with this? Absolutely not. Football is corrupt from top to bottom and if we've broken rules - unfair rules - I couldn't give a shit. And can UEFA prove it? Maybe, maybe not. Do they want all this to go away? Who knows. Frankly I don't give a toss.

But let's not get all indignant and arsey when a fellow blue puts his hand up and says "you know what, we probably did cheat" because actually it looks very much like we did.
So you've gone over all the information and believe nothing is taken out of context, none of it is old news(already dealt with from our original punishment) and no leaps of faith/wishful thinking has been made on their part? We have since learned that Der Spiegel also have a history of their writers/editors inventing sources too.

So, if they look like bullshitters, walk like bullshitters, talk and write like bullshitters, then they are probably bullshitters. There's more than a few reasons to take most of what you're being told in the press so far with a pinch of salt, because they all have the same source.

Personally, I think they took the leaks, then spent months building their own narrative, inventing sources to fill in the gaps and are hoping the investigation proves them right. If neither UEFA or the PL can come up with anything, then I think it's safe to say it was all a load of bullshit.

Part of an orchestrated campaign that even Joseph Goebbels would have been proud of. Hard to believe this is 21st century Britain and not 1930s Germany but I suppose the underlying objectives of de-stabilising, stigmatising and tarnishing reputations are common in both eras. Attempting to paint our beloved Club as the root of all evil and responsible for ruining football since Sky invented it in 1992 serves to demonstrate the influence of mainstream media and, unfortunately, the gormless nature of the masses who are too fucking thick to question what they're being very selectively spoon-fed every morning.

Was it the scallys from Bermondsey who used to chant "no-one likes us, no-one likes us, we don't care..."?
