Schalke Post Match Thread

At some point in the 2nd half:

Ed...............25
Walker..........28
Danilo...........27
Laporte.........24
Zin..............22
Gündogan......28
Bernardo.......24
Foden..........18
Sterling........24
Jesus...........21
Sané............23

On average 24 years old. (Stones, 24, not being involved.)

Young and wild - most of them ;-)
Good times ahead.

The thing that also strikes me about that line up is that on some level most of those transfers were mocked. We get called for buying success whilst at the same time mocked for the players we buy!! Idiots.

Forget the corruption of UEFA and VAR, the stars the are lined up for us to win this. Whether it's written in the stars or not is down to us. And make of it what you will, UEFA actually want us to win it this year. I'm not going to answer any doubting Thomas's or fuck wit questions. Some of you may remember what I said before the competition started, that's all I'm saying.

I wasn't meaning it as criticism I thought he did bloody well to stay on his feet , just I don't think the placing was deliberate.
I loved the game.
I think he was exaggerating the stumble. The fact that he couldn’t of hit it any sweeter, makes me think that.

So pleased for the lad.

Don't fully understand the ire against a 7-0 win and the discretion of the referee/human decency regarding overtime. Its a knock out tournament after all.
City were toying with them.
You're too mellow Joe. You gotta have some ire in yer belly Joe.

What did you think about City's performance tonight Mark?

Great performance tonight, well done Blues. The papers are covering Gundogan and his contract situation. At the risk of putting a downer on a great night, can I say that I would like to see us sign Zinchenko as a matter of priority. Gundogan has done ok in my eyes but slows us down too many times when we're racing through midfield. Mini Kev is getting better and better all of the time and can tie down the left back spot in a world rated team if he carries on like he is doing. He'll save us £50m in transfer fees for a Mendy replacement as well if that's what Pep is considering
