Yesterday we robbed Swansea with an offside winner, everyone and his dog seems to be saying that and yet I note today brighton had a late winner ruled out for offside and apparently 'that's the way it goes- tight decisions' OK it was two different stations but it was also 2 different teams.

Oh and while I am on, I heard Spit the Dog clearly say 'if we go on to win the league' as he co-commentated on the Dips v Fulham.

If you look where the linesman is located on the far side,it is impossible to see through five people who are impeding his view.Therefore he can only (or supposedly) give offside if he is certain.Thankfully he didn`t guess.

Absolutely correct the linesman did not see an offside so can’t flag for it.

Interesting if VAR can’t see the ball how could they give offside?

I'd go further, he's actually in a great position (unusual I know), so looking across all of that he knows Sergio is onside, and has communicated such to Mariner through their intercom.

All we've seen to support "offside" is a very shit angle, but were there others we didn't get to see ?

I think the human (bias) element should be removed from VAR.

The officials should only see AI computer generated images of the event in question, where they have no idea which team they are making a decision on.

That is a pretty good idea in my humble opinion.....

Looking at that the camera isn't in line with the back line or the linesman so how can the press say for sure it was off side. From this angle it looks close I would guess when viewed from the correct angle it looks even closer but that would spoil it for the press...

You mean the correct angle where the linesman is stood actually looking straight down the line of play.
If it’s such a travesty, the press should be getting on the backs of the FA as they actually had VAR last season at the Liberty Stadium.

He's offside in that picture if you look at grass line on the pitch, although I suspect that is a couple of frames after the pass was played. It's difficult to tell from that angle.

Lino is in the wrong position to see. Not our fault.

Milner v West Ham is a different matter altogether.

Our penalty was a penalty all day long, just as much as theirs, just Sterling didn't do the full leap and dive like their player did. Aguero might have been fractionally offside but the rule is supposed to favour the attacker. Anyway the bottom line is.......fuck em!!

Look at the far horizontal line of the 6 yard box and then the front horizontal line of the 6 yard box are they in linement or does the far line line look like its yards further right.
