Talksport

Does anybody remember Micah Richards' "hand ball" against Liverpool in 2012 - Carling Cup? Crouchy hand ball to foot for a goal while playing for Stoke against us - wasn't that the same year? Maybe the next. Not sure...

To me, things happen sometimes the way they did on Saturday. Sometimes they go against you and sometimes they go in your favor. This is the point where Bobby Manc would say "Thees ees football," right? There are those calls that happen and you lose matches and you feel totally robbed as a fan. Also, there are the times such marginal calls go your way and you crack a little smile and remind yourself that in the end it all usually kind of evens out. I'm not a big fan of winning under the circumstances we did on Saturday, but I consider this just part of that evening out process.

I am really tired of all this nonsense regarding Sunday. After the match, Pep was about as candid as you will ever hear a manager get in his attitude about those calls. He also commented, and rightly so, that we lobbied very hard as a club for VAR. Not sure what else we are supposed to do.

Onward and Upward. Doing all the business that is left will surely put them all in their collective place.

CTID.

I don't listen to it, I read the comments on here and telling other blues to " buck up its only going to get worse" implies you do care. Its a wind up station, to get fans to phone in to defend there club hence make lots of money...surely all City fans know this by now, including yourself.

Idiots are going to continue to say outlandish, inane things about City the better City do. It's been happening since the takeover.

The point of the post is to tell people NOT to get their knickers in a twist about Durham. NOT to. Let me repeat that -- NOT to.

Because the wind ups are probably going to continue. And get more outlandish and inane.

So stop worrying about it. If it's bothering you, better ignore it, switch it off, whatever, because more will come if we succeed.

PS. NOT to. Do you get it now? Or should I repeat it again?

PPS. I live 5,500 fucking miles away from Manchester, which you'd figure my handle might have clued you in on. I get Talksport on satellite radio once in a while when it's on (which is rarely and only as filler after broadcast matches). So when I say I don't care what Talksport says, I mean it.

PPPS. NOT to.

I look forward to the wolves replay for the handball.
If teams had to replay games where decisions had gone against us, we'd have to skip a season just to give us time for the replays.
And they wonder why they are called talkshite.

He actuallty said he supports the underdog, and would like them to have their day.

Tbh there's not much wrong with what he said.
Rushden knows the drill and is very funny with it. He takes the piss out of the editorial and the pundits. He takes the piss out of it and himself. One of the best on thrre IMO.

I can understand why he'd say why he hope's Brighton test us. Hes being ironic.

There was a much better debate around 7:30pm about VAR, as opposed to our game when there was no VAR.

Sam Matterface said by far the most controversial VAR decision of the weekend was the reversal of Lindelof's red card.

I think he made the point that the referee making the decision was Chris Kavanagh from Manchester. He said it wasn't a clear and obvious mistake so shouldn't have been reviewed. He said it was a matter of opinion whether it should have been a red card, so the opinions of the referee and lineman were more valid than the video referee, because they were very close to the action and could judge it within the context of the game. He gave his own opinion that it was reckless, unnecessarily forceful, and worthy of a red card.

He also made the point that it has gone entirely unnoticed because of the Swansea decisions. I agree with everything he said.

I would add, why was Smalling not penalised for his first half foul at a Wolves corner, where he wrestled a Wolves player to the ground? Why was this not corrected by VAR? There was a directive a couple of years ago to clamp down on fouling at corners. I think Sterling was one of the first to be penalised under the new interpretation. I don't think Smalling was ever penalised for holding even though he is by far the worst offender. I don't recall this interpretation ever being rescinded, but it is certainly not used anymore.

It wasn't proven to be offside - there was no VAR.
I bet even the FA are laughing at Talksport. Its so sad, they could be so much better.

Instead of Danny mills, stuart Pearce or whoever you lot says is on? I’d love buzzer to be given half an hour with the fuckers

Someone must have tried it out by now?

Can you imagine the ladies....
'I like a man with a white van & covered in builders dust'......thousands of matches
'I like a honest,kind, considerate non-sexist'......................zero matches.
I did promote this idea at the time when I first heard the advert - some singleton on here needs to take the plunge and sign up on behalf of BM.

The Talksport thread could possibly become the most talked about thread since the inception of the Brexit or Agenda threads ;-)

It seems very strange that a person would sign up to this as a dating service with the understanding that the only reason that this particular platform was utilised is that you listen to Talksport...........

Smelling at corners; he is a wonder to behold, the attacker he is marking never gets near the ball. By the time the ball arrives in the area the attacker is on the floor, with smelling on top of him. I have never seen a penalty given against him, so I presume he has special dispensation. It is good defending, zero chance of his man having an impact on the game, he has worked hard at this manoeuvre and seems to have it perfected.
Should be on you tube " defending corners" a masterclass.
