Just think wages are silly in comparison to those like Doctors etc.

Think there should be a cap at say £250k a week
Never going to happened, just a threat from the bigger clubs to get a bigger slice when the overseas TV rights are renegotiated, seems reasonable as a pal visited New York last season when a pub / bar was showing City v Burnley live and the place was rammed, the earlier game was watford v Bournmouth and the place was empty.

It won't happen because it would fail in law.

It works in RL because all clubs have agreed to it for the good of the game.

I know where you are coming from but its totally impracticable. What about other sports stars, actors, TV presenters, CEOs etc compared to doctors? Where do you think the money would go if it wasn't to the players, to the owners like it did when the local butcher owned the club? The world isn't fair, if it was then we would all get the same amount of money and there wouldn't be millionaires, we would all be equal. So to impose a salary cap wouldn't be fair to the players in comparison with their peers in the entertainment industry. Its is also illegal, unless its a squad cap and would only work if the whole football world adopted it

That's what would be best if it was a cap on the world game.

Cap everything else then Why should a movie start make these obscene amounts of money?

  1. George Clooney. $239 Million. Tequila. ...
  2. Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson. $124 Million. ...
  3. Robert Downey Jr. $81 Million. ...
  4. Chris Hemsworth. $64.5 Million. ...
  5. Jackie Chan. $45.5 Million. ...
  6. Will Smith. $42.5 Million. ...
  7. Akshay Kumar. $40.5 Million. ...
  8. Adam Sandler. $39.5 Million.

Wages are silly, but it's a market. How many Agueros are there in the world?
As long as you have the capitalist system, wages will be like this. Try to cap them, and the talent will go off elsewhere. I wish it wasn't like that, really I do, but it is.

It would be interesting to see UEFA try a wage cap. It's impossible to comprehend it working, but it would be the solution to all their FFP problems.

Maybe they could do it on the CL squads. 200m cap on your 23 man squad. B list players exempt, 10% of a home grown player's salary doesn't count.

Among those rules, the instances wouldn't seek to control the origin of the money or how it is spent but will only verify if clubs finances stay in the green side.
For example, they would prioritize controls over clubs that don't pay the salary of players or club employees.
Don’t think anyone could have a problem with that.

Yeah can u imagine it barca Madrid bayern United and juve have unlimited wage budget everyone else can't break 10p a season.

Not many headlines regarding our financial issues at the moment , they usually surface when we win a game to top the league or win a trophy, make progress in a cup competition or talk of the quadruple is mentioned ,the media's diversional tactics are so transparent.
