Why we will win the league!

We will likely have to win every game.
Only the derby is of concern, I don't honestly see Liverpool slipping up anywhere.
I think they'll drop points against Newcastle and Wolves.

They should run rings around the rest.

Nah if the dippers have the chance to win league on the final day they'll beat Wolves. Newcastle if they defend like they did against us could cause an upset but I can't see that happening either. Benitez would like dippers to win the title and Newcastle will probably be safe by then. Imo Southampton & Chelsea are our only hope but Chelsea are shit atm

We keep winning tho and none of this matters :)

I've never seen such a closely contested title race between two sides with a bigger disparity in quality.

They say the best team always wins the league but if Liverpool win it then that's just simply not true.

I think we will drop at least 4 maybe 5 points in our remaining games. I have us losing at Utd and drawing with Palace. (But could just as easily be any other game). So Liverpool need to drop points in at least 2 games.

Soton A
Chelsea H
Cardiff A
Huddersfield H
Newcastle A
Wolves H

They will beat Huddersfield easily and if they need to win last day verses Wolves they will win as Wolves will be on the beach and unmotivated and also they could have a potential FA cup final.

We really need them to drop points against Soton next week and hopefully Chelsea as well as I think these are there most difficult fixtures. If they win those 2 and we drop points at Palace then we could effectively lose the league at OT unless we win.

Cardiff will put up a fight but there not very good and they could be almost relagated by the time they play. I also cant see Newcastle doing much with the Benitez factor and thw fact they have nothing to play for.

Im gutted but I think today was pivotal. I really hope Im wrong but I think its Liverpools to lose now.

In response to the post title I think you probably will win the league and if you do it will be deserved... You play a fantastic brand of football.

However, as a red I am immensely proud that we have hung on to your coat tails... Have we had some luck... Of course, today Spurs were the better side and you could argue we would've been lucky to get a point never mind three, but you have had luck as well and over the course of a season it evens out.

I firmly believe both teams will drop points but if City win every game of the run in (which they are more than capable of)... I for one will doff my hat.

Also (for what it's worth), if we don't get to the Champs League final (a huge ask), then City are the only English club I would like to see win it...

One plea, please at least show a bit of respect if we do win either and dispense with the "dippers" and "unworthy champions" rhetoric... That's more United than City

Enjoy the run in...

City are the better team and the best team doesn’t always win the league because the table DOES lie.

However City and Liverpool are two extremely good teams maybe generationally good teams. The gap isn’t as huge as we would like to think.

Personally think it will go to the wire, and am
surprised that the bookies have us as such clear favourites. 50/50 for me, given the run-ins.

Agree about the “dipper” stuff. It’s a pretty shit insult imo.

We are not afraid of what is ahead. The Dippers escaped from jail today but that was their last chance saloon. We are so so happy!

We have had the odd slice of luck but come on nothing compared to yourselves. A lot of it I wouldn't even class as luck, more gross negligence by three keepers and a few officials. If the luck evens itself out over the season then you better get your tissues out because in your last six games you have a lot of bad luck coming your wage for it to break even.

Looking at both sets of run ins I think you are favourites. You have only two iffy games, Southampton away and Chelsea at home. We have quite a few. Spurs, the rags, Palace and Leicester. Get the bunting out as I think after today this really will be your year.

Now.....I don't want to get involved in petty name calling and dragging up the past but after the antics of some of your fans, stoning coaches after an impeccable show of respect on the 25th anniversary and smashing up our team coach last season, aided and abetted by a so called police force doing everything but maintain law and order,I think you have a fair bit of wrong righting to do before you get much here.

Welcome to the forum pal.

While you appear to have your head screwed on......please remember that respect is something that is earned, your crowd have some way to go in that department.

Can’t see where Liverpool are going to drop any points, we are going to have to win every game, are we capable?, absolutely, will we do it?, think it’s highly unlikely personally, think Liverpool will win it by couple of points, hope I’m bloody wrong mind

I don’t rate Spurs and United will try and do their sit back in their own half against City, both pretty winnable games. It was only Fulham this weekend but City looked proper on it and ruthless, I expect this to be a recurring theme in the next month and a bit as they sense the finishing line and lifting more trophies awaits.

Come on Ric - the things they call us and the sheer vitriol and rabid venom when they talk about us mancs and our "arab oil money". Their bloody cult mentality, their inability to give credit to anyone but themselves, their hugely discreditable istree, the coach attack, their demands to restrict and investigate us, the still ongoing persecution of Raheem, etc etc.
And they get upset at "dipper"?

Personally i don't think Liverpool will drop any points so we'll have to win every game.
Are we capable of doing that, of course we are.
Do i think we'll win every game ?
It'll be tough and it'll only take one off game to drop points but i think we might just do it .
City by one point, how sweet would that be.
Probably need a new heart at the end of it though
