This time, though, it's the day before the 30th anniversary of the Hillsborough Disaster. The referee will not want to give Chelsea anything. We saw that in 2014.

Plus Chelsea aren't very good....

It would really hurt them if they didn't lose another game and didn't win the league. A dipper on the Echo is saying we'll lose to utd and they'll draw with Chelsea and we'll win the league on goal difference. I just can't see us losing to the rags.
 
If there is any justice then the dippers draw some of their remaining games and we win ours. But I guarantee that there will be outcry in the thiefdom that they want the rules changing back to 2 points for a win, because it was their year and it's not fair.

There's no way Warnock will play a second string of players. They have 10 days off after our game so no need to rest players.

They're miles adrift on GD already, I doubt that's going to be an issue for them one way or the other. Still, I agree that he's not going to do it, it was just a throwaway frustrated comment.

Their "luck" this season is reminiscent of the "luck" Stretford enjoyed during the GPC's era. Wouldn't have anything to do with commercial considerations or the advertising revenue generated by their brainwashed hordes?

No, never, impossible, what makes you think that. Nothing to do with this quote from the then Premier League Chief Executive is it:
"It doesn't take away from City's excellence, but we want the season to go to the last," said Scudamore. "I'd like multiple trophies needed in various locations on the last day because we don't know how it will end." Scudamore, added: "I'd like someone to get a little bit closer to Manchester City.
 
When all games are done, City will come out on top!
We are “the best team in the land and all the world” bar none.
If it takes for us to win all remaining games, then that is what we’ll do.
Poor Dippers, have a season like this and still don’t win.
Never mind next season and all that!

Nah, he didn’t mean anything by that at all.
All he meant was that it would be good if others could keep up a challenge, and he’s sent the troops into battle to just do that....
 
The hype around the "they've only lost once all season" is just bollocks to my mind.

It's a joke the amount of times they've deserved to lose(you can add yesterdays game to that list), never mind how many times they should have drawn. It is worrying how everything seems to be lining up for them but the thing is, we aren't the ones who have to rely on luck, when we have played badly we've dropped points, they haven't.

Maybe there will come a point where they rely on luck one time too many, to bail them out. They could be thinking, during a tight game or after going behind to a fluke goal themselves: "Ah it will be fine, we'll get a lucky deflection or we can buy a penalty from the ref, something will happen for us" but it doesn't come and all they will be able to say if we pull away, is the best team won.

If we win, in spite of the jammiest points haul in history going to our contenders, it will be the sweetest PL title win since 2012.

Remember how Crystal Palace's veteran keeper Julian Speroni was so badly at fault in the 4-3 win over Crystal Palace at Anfield in January?

Lloris can now add his name to that list, as can Sissoko, to add weight to the argument of those who believe there is a touch of destiny about Liverpool's Premier League pursuit season.
